The place is cute and well kept. However, this small business should do a better job at facilitating their guests when they come in. I walked into the “museum” in the back of the store thinking it was apart of the experience. One of the staff there (ERIC) came up to me after 20 mins of being in the store asking if we knew about the tickets, I asked what tickets? He said we needed to buy tickets to enter the museum and proceeded to escort us out. I apologized and was gonna offer to buy a ticket and just leave but because ERIC was so snarky and rude with his attitude it changed my mind. I apologized again and told him it was honest mistake that I didn’t see any signs about buying a ticket, the doors to the museum were open and accessible. He proceeded to tell me in a snarky tone that there were “3” signs that I should’ve saw and looked out for. Sir! If you need 3 signs to get your point across then that’s your first problem! LOL Maybe do better at greeting your customers and directing them to buy a ticket. Just for future reference, when things like this happen you should educate your guests on how the process works. Not give them the cold shoulder because you as a business failed to inform your customers of your policies and procedures. NOT ONE PERSON greeted us when we came in. We would’ve been happy patrons and corrected our mistake and bought a ticket but ERICS reaction was a bit off so probably won’t be recommending this place. Try to be less hostile Eric. I hope you have...
Read moreWe were very surprised by this “museum” as it is only two rooms and cost $18 per person with an additional fee for what they refer to as the interactive experience. I heard about the museum on a podcast and was very excited to check it out. I felt really embarrassed taking my partner here as I genuinely thought it would at least have an oddities area, like a smaller campier film-buff Mütter Museum. The real horror was realizing how ripped off we were by the time we left. It was much scarier to realize that our money had apparated than it was to look at vintage Ouija boards. This is a place where it would be fun if you were into the film that the exhibition is based around or just have a bunch of money to blow and like sort-of spooky stuff. Probably could get decent Instagram pictures if that’s your thing. I was glad to see an area of Burbank that I don’t get to spend much time in and to support a small (and seemingly heartfelt) business, but it was really hard to not ask for our money back and to keep a straight face upon exiting as we genuinely felt like we got scammed. I hope you continue to grow as a museum and realize the rest of...
Read moreFinally made it back up for the 90's Slasher exhibit, so much fun!!! We have seen their magic on TV and a small fraction for years at Midsummer Scream and finally, finally we were able to stop by for a visit and oh am I glad we did! So many interesting, unusual things in the museum you could wander around forever! There is a separate walk thru exhibit you can walk thru, price is not bad but there was a decent wait to go thru on Saturday. Well worth it I am sure but we were under a bit if a time crunch so another time for sure! We were able to walk through a new section of the museum where the "Camp Horror" was setup. So many cool props and picture ops, especially for a horror dork like me. I was in heaven! It reminded me of a cross between Friday the 13th and AHS 1984 and we loved it! The staff is extremely nice and helpful and we walked out with a rather large bag of goodies from Camp Horror (I love my camp counselor baseball tee!). It is well worth a trip to come visit. I hear they rotate stuff every so often so get out there before it changes! Trust me, you will not be sorry!!! Hoping one day to sit in on a sceance.... I...
