I brought in an all in one record player that I was gifted for Christmas. I already knew that these all in ones weren’t the best players and so forth however because it was a gift I ultimately wanted to give it a shot. When I went inside and put the record player on the counter I stated that I believe that this record player needed a new needle. Before even touching the record player these two men working at the counter started to completely berate me saying that this is a joke and that this record player is a piece of crap. Then presumed to pick up a broken player they had on the ground and slam it back onto the ground to show me a representation of how “crappy” my record player was, I found this to be VERY HOSTILE! The older man then tried to give me a lesson on record players when I stated multiple times that I just got the record player as a gift and I was trying to explore my options before purchasing one myself that’s A. better quality and B. worth more money. I was in complete shock and all I could do was smile and nod because I was so uncomfortable I wanted to leave but I couldn’t because this older man was trying to convince into buying this 375$ record player. Overall I was in this store for 10 minutes max and it was a very awful experience. Sorry if my record player wasn’t old or vintage enough for your liking but does that mean you should treat me with hostility? FYI saying you’re not patronizing me while you’re patronizing me is literally gaslighting. Have a blessed day and...
Read moreGreat record store with just about any record one could want. On my first visit I came by bike and didn't think I could safely bring the vinyls home but I looked at T. Rex, Neil Young, Van Morrison, the Police, the Moody Blues, the Pretenders, Roxy Music and many more. I was pleased to see such a wide variety of decades and artists. I also appreciated how the store carries multiples of many records in varying conditions so if you don't want to spend $100 on a mint condition vinyl from a certain artist you can get a slightly used one for $10 or 15. All in all it's a great shop for vinyls (better than the one downtown) and well worth a stop if you have a record player or just love...
