Great record store with just about any record one could want. On my first visit I came by bike and didn't think I could safely bring the vinyls home but I looked at T. Rex, Neil Young, Van Morrison, the Police, the Moody Blues, the Pretenders, Roxy Music and many more. I was pleased to see such a wide variety of decades and artists. I also appreciated how the store carries multiples of many records in varying conditions so if you don't want to spend $100 on a mint condition vinyl from a certain artist you can get a slightly used one for $10 or 15. All in all it's a great shop for vinyls (better than the one downtown) and well worth a stop if you have a record player or just love browsing music!!!

One of the best record stores I’ve ever been in. Incredibly diverse selection. Lots of rare, obscure, and sought after titles/artists. There are so many things I’ve never seen before. The LPs are organized in a nice fashion that is easy to sort by artist, genre, or nationality depending on where you are in the store. The 45s require some digging but you won’t be disappointed there either. Thank you so much, I stopped in all the way from Syracuse, NY.

Wonderful selection of used and local records, huge jazz section, and an awesome assortment of vintage, tested and/or refurbished equipment. Also does repairs, which is understandably pricey because it’s a specialized art. Recommend going before hitting the nearby breweries and cidery, unless you need a little grease to loosen those spending wheels.

I brought in an all in one record player that I was gifted for Christmas. I already knew that these all in ones weren’t the best players and so forth however because it was a gift I ultimately wanted to give it a shot. When I went inside and put the record player on the counter I stated that I believe that this record player needed a new needle. Before even touching the record player these two men working at the counter started to completely berate me saying that this is a joke and that this record player is a piece of crap. Then presumed to pick up a broken player they had on the ground and slam it back onto the ground to show me a representation of how “crappy” my record player was, I found this to be VERY HOSTILE! The older man then tried to give me a lesson on record players when I stated multiple times that I just got the record player as a gift and I was trying to explore my options before purchasing one myself that’s A. better quality and B. worth more money. I was in complete shock and all I could do was smile and nod because I was so uncomfortable I wanted to leave but I couldn’t because this older man was trying to convince into buying this 375$ record player. Overall I was in this store for 10 minutes max and it was a very awful experience. Sorry if my record player wasn’t old or vintage enough for your liking but does that mean you should treat me with hostility? FYI saying you’re not patronizing me while you’re patronizing me is literally gaslighting. Have a blessed day and...

My husband and I have been considering a turntable for our a collection of records we inherited, but weren't familiar with all the details about getting the right set up or where to begin honestly. Elizabeth at Speaking Volumes made the world less intimidating and was so helpful!!! We had a ton of questions and Elizabeth answered all of them with kindness and enthusiasm. I highly recommend stopping in to check out Speaking Volumes' collection, get repairs, and shop the collection...
