The Plaza Theatre — Local services in Butler District

Went to the 10:30am matinee show with my 8 year old granddaughter to watch a 4 year old Spiderman cartoon. NEVER AGAIN!!! What a bummer day, $29 for us to get in with medium drink and popcorn. Popcorn was too salty to eat much, medium drink was like 10oz and watered down and the sound was so high you couldn't hardly hear half of the movie (All treble no base). The screen was randomly blurry and the seats were sticky and made you itch. Then they didn't turn the lights on when we left so that was a cluster trying to leave too. I just called down there to see the show times and the girl that answered the phone was extremely rude. First she hung up on me and then when i called back she had a horrible attitude and seemed annoyed she had to go to the trouble of telling me what the showtimes were. I will drive to steubenville to see the movie just for the fact that lady was rude. As a matter of fact, i will never go to that theatre again because of her rudeness. I can only imagine how she treats...

This is an old, single screen movie theater. I understand that new owners took over awhile ago and they have done a lot of renovations. They will screen new release films here. Prices are spectacular compared to newer theaters towards the greater Pittsburgh area, making this more affordable for a date night or for young families. Don't expect all of the bells and whistles of a big city chain theater, but definitely worth visiting to...
