I would chew off my own arm before stepping foot in this store again. The store manager is nothing but a liar and unprofessional. She told me as I was making my purchase that I could "try the purse out for 30 days and return it if I don't like it". I asked her if that means I can use it to see if I like or or not. She claimed yes, that I can return as long as there's no visible wear. I bought it two weeks ago. Still in perfect condition. I just tried to return it for something bigger. As soon as I said I have a return, her face appeared as if she was irritated. She told me I could put it on the counter as I look around. I told her my stuff is still in it. That's when she said I can't return it once it has been used. I told her what she originally stated and she said she "doesn't remember that". She continued to deny what she said so I asked to speak to the store manager. She claimed she was. I asked to speak to someone above her. She was reluctant to give me any contact. She just continued to try to convince me that I didn't hear what I knew she said two weeks ago. I'm not the type of person to go out of my way to embarrass myself trying to return something used. If I had known what the true policy was, I wouldn't have "tried it out". She then tried to tell me that there's no store that will let you wear something then return it. I told her that clothing stores do! She tried to disagree. It ended with me getting the DMs name and store phone. I will be calling regardless if I can do a return or not. I will sell the purse or throw it away before I use any product from this company. Buyers beware, I hope your experience is much...
Read moreMy mother and I shopped at this Kate Spade outlet one day ago and received terrible customer service. When we purchased our items, we noticed that the customer before us was given a Kate Spade branded shopping bag for her purchase, but my mother and I were both given a brown grocery bag. When we asked for the branded shopping bags, as these were gifts we purchased, the store rep Andrea said they didn’t have any. When we pointed out that the customer before us was given one, the store rep said she may have brought it in herself. We very clearly saw she received it from the store rep Andrea. When we again stated this, Andrea said that they again did not have any branded bags. When we posted out the bags behind the counter, the manager, not Andrea, stated that corporate told them not to use those until the holidays. A very different story than the one we were previously told. We then left because they seemed very dismissive. When we arrived home, we realized the store rep had cut off the price tag from the purse, without our consent so that we could not return it. I will now say, I hesitate to think this treatment was because we are African American, and the customer who was given the branded bag was Caucasian, but I will let you decide. We called corporate and informed them of this treatment and they apologized, confirmed the manager lied about the aforementioned holiday bag policy, and assured us that they would follow up. I will NEVER shop at this store again and I am so disappointed that this differential, seemingly racist treatment is still...
Read moreI bought a Kate Spade Bag at the outlet store and it was cheaply made. I carried it less that 50 times and the hardware broke so I can’t zip it shut. The gold color is coming off the hardware revealing a pink metal underneath. I rotate my handbags and have not used this bag much despite owning it for over a year. After a year the Kate Spade outlet doesn’t fix handbags purchased at the store. Sales people were nice. The sales girl said I could go somewhere and pay to have it fixed. I showed her the gold color hardware that was chipping away with a pink metal underneath. I told her I was concerned about the color coming off. She said the store doesn’t guarantee the metal. I could have left the bag in the rain. I thought to myself “Yes, this is what I do with my expensive handbags, I leave them out in the rain”. So I have purchased my last Kate Spade bag! I used to buy two handbags there a year. The Coach Outlet has better bags made with better materials. None of the hardware loses its color because it’s made from Nickel or brass. I am so disappointed with the...
