After moving away from the Midwest 11 years ago and flying into Michigan to celebrate the 4th of July weekend, I was naturally excited to eat at one of my old favorites; Culver’s. I went with my father, sister and son. I ordered my usual, a double cheese burger and cheese fries. I couldn’t wait. After ordering we sat down and everyone was brought their food. My families food was all hot and they said delicious. I was super hungry post a long travel day, excited my burger and cheese fries, cut the burger in half and took a big bite. Yikes, barely room temp. The cheese wasn’t even melted on the burger patties. I took another bite as I was super hungry but just couldn’t stomach the room temp meat with the cold mayo and cold cheese on top. No problem, I’m easy, I’ll just get another. I walked up and was directed to the assist manager. In my hunger I didn’t get her name, she was short, medium build Hispanic woman, maybe mid 20s. She walked up and I told her about the cold food. She said ok we’ll make another. Now my fries were in the basket with the burger so I assumed I’d get another cheese fry. 10 minutes later, as my family was finishing there meals, my burger got dropped off. No problem, it’s hot and delish. But, I had no fries. Went back up and asked for more fries as I ordered the basket. She seemed a bit angry but soon a small order of fries came out to me by an employee. He noted to me, why is this a small fry you got a basket right? I said yes. He walked backed. She came out a few minutes later with the same small fry and said ‘here, you get this, I could tell when you brought the burger up with the fries that you ate a few fries’ I said ‘so I’m being fry penalized?’ She said, yes you are. SMH. Now it had been 15-20 since our table got the food. Of course, the cheese cup was cold. I asked politely ‘may I at least have a warm cup of cheese?’ She rolled her eyes, walked away, and came back and literally tossed the cheese cup on the table. I know complaining about fry quantity sounds petty, but it was just the whole interaction that was nothing I remembered Culver’s to be. I’m sure this is an isolated event, but it was really...
Read moreI come here way too often because the food is always so fresh and good quality. Tonight I had to go through the line 3 times because I was given the wrong order. I understand if the person taking the orders was new but I would think when you go through the line the second time they would get the order correct. To top it off the manager Ariana was extremely rude, not apologetic and basically referred to me as being a liar. After trying to explain how all three sandwiches came out incorrect, she said “ I mean not really I double checked the order” after explaining how my sandwich for the third time was incorrect and I was given the wrong bag yet again, I asked if she was calling me a liar and that’s when her tone changed. Arianna should not be in charge when she obviously cannot manage simple situations like what happened tonight. I am extremely disappointed in the way she treated me and only can hope that customers in the future are not treated how she treated me tonight. This could’ve been avoided but she obviously cannot manage a team, and handle issues with orders. By far the worst customer service I’ve ever...
Read moreI've been following the carnivore diet and have consistently received great accommodations at various Culver’s locations, including this one in Byron Center—until today.
The young staff were kind and helpful, doing their best to assist me. However, when they double-checked with the manager on how to ring in my usual order (individual beef patties with cheese, ordered à la carte), the manager abruptly stated, "We don’t do it that way anymore." This was confusing and frustrating, especially since I’ve ordered it this exact way at this same location within the past two weeks without any issue.
What’s most disappointing is the dismissive tone and unwillingness to accommodate a request that has clearly been fulfilled before—not just here, but at other Culver’s locations as well. As a fellow restaurant owner, I understand that not every request can be honored, but consistency and respectful customer service are key. If you've previously made accommodations, walking them back without explanation reflects poorly on management and damages...
