Facility is ok. Dirty bathrooms and not enough for a tournament. HOT facility. They "don't allow outside food or beverages" but don't offer any healthful food options for kids playing all day or for spectators. Plus, I came in with an unsweetened iced tea and they made me throw it out. However, everywhere I looked, other people had their personal yetis, starbucks, there were teams with little caesers, etc. If you're going to say no outside food or beverages, don't pick and choose who you enforce it with, or be normal and let people bring their own stuff. I am a diabetic and there were zero options for me. Zero. Paid $25 to get in, and then forced to pay for unhealthy options for food. Unreal. You're still going to make plenty of money on your super sugary and unhealthy options. Parking is fine but only if you're the morning wave. Also, it's a basketball facility. They didnt pull any of the basketball nets up, so they interfering with servers...
Read moreThe facility is aesthetically great compared to many. However, as seen by other reviews, parents should be concerned for player safety. Our player has been in tears and much pain over an arm injury(muscle pull) after an opposing player consistently grabbed her arm and wouldnât let go (away from the ball) and caused her arm to twist in a way it should not bend. When asked why he wasnât calling a foul, the referee stated that he would not call it because our coach had not yet called off a full court press when we were 15 points ahead (tourney results were also based on first half points, most teams call off the press at a 20 point lead). This was happening while we were playing defense. I understand that referees are under appreciated and that basketball is a physical sport; however, this was an acknowledged and willful decision by an official to allow injury producing behavior...
Read morePoor management and disrespectful referees - no concern whatsoever when a coach brings to their attention a ref who was actually bad-mouthing the coaches during a game! The manager/coach for Courthouse would rather chastise you and talk about his own strengths as a coach instead of listen to and take advisement of a legitimate concern being voiced by two coaches who have been around the game for 35+ years and have always been respectful of everyone on the basketball court, including and especially towards referees - whose job we know is undeservingly stressful and thankless. It is sad to see such an arrogant individual running a place that otherwise has had such a positive impact on youth sports.
Any reply to this review (other than an expression of regret) is just confirmation that the organization itself is ignorant and only concerned about...
