I am so grateful for this wonderful addition to the Cambridge area community! In a small town known for its many pottery shops, local artists, and even fire festival, feeling like an 'artist' yourself can be daunting to say the least. This amazing art collective invites out the artist in everyone, from beginner to professional. Enjoy viewing the gallery, full of locally made, stunning work of many mediums. Stop by soon and you'll be invited to paint part of a community mural. Interested in trying something out? There are short classes in all kinds of mediums available at very reasonable prices for the materials, teaching, and work space provided. Need to wow a group? Make it a party-- she's ready with ideas for both kids and adults. Ready to get serious about your newfound identity as a full-blown artist? Enroll in one of the many multi-week courses and really dig in, with the guidance of a skilled teacher (Shout out to Prof Alex!). Art Hub is an absolute gem in our community! There’s an ever-changing selection of art by local artists for purchase, in media ranging from photography, to oil panting, to ceramics, to metal sculptures, and beyond. There’s also a really accesible price range depending on what you’re looking for. Art Hub also offers an amazing array of classes to take by a variety of instructors. You can also walk in and choose a pottery piece to glaze at any time. Everyone who works there is extremely kind and knowledgeable. I'm so glad the Art Hub has come to Cambridge. I just completed a class on Beginning Watercoloring. In three classes, I learned so much. We produced a painting every class. We learned different methods of mixing colors and creating effects on the paper. We learned how to create the effect of depth and contrast through our application of paint. We experimented with our brushes for effect. Our instructor had a script for each class that included an introduction of a concept, time to work and practice a technique, and concluded with an application of that day's lesson in a guided painting.
