We lived in 91 Sidney for the spring and absolutely loved it. We had a 2bed 2bath and found it super reasonable given the incredible location (heart of Central Sq but set back in a quiet/peaceful area overlooking a park). We have lived all over Cambridge/Somerville before but 91 Sidney is our favorite. Some people may complain about the price but Boston housing is just damn expensive. We personally felt like it was an incredible value. While the building can feel a bit dated and has issues b/c of age (i.e., drafty windows), the amenities were great (gym, secure room for packages, large communal meeting spaces in the lobby area, beautiful outdoor space). But what made this place especially memorable for us was the managing staff/community. The space was always super clean b/c the cleaning lady was always working, whenever there was an issue Sandro was on top of it, and Lee was so incredibly kind and helpful throughout our lease time. It's rare to feel taken care of at a large rental complex but that's exactly how we felt--cared for. My husband and I were sad to leave this wonderful space and felt lucky to have been there...
Read moreTried to schedule an in-person tour, was told it would be 1 hr to tour 3 buildings. We got there, and the leasing office told us that they don’t offer in-person tours, that all of their apartments are rented “sight-unseen” and that we only had the option to watch video tours. I understand that they don’t offer occupied tours, but I can’t believe that they don’t have a single 1 bedroom apartment that is currently empty (they implied that an apartment could not be toured because it would be rented within 1 day of the last renter vacating). The management was extremely rude when we explained that we were flexible on move-in date claiming that they couldn’t offer us any estimate or price range (one example being that any apartment in their complex could range between $3,000-$10,000, but wouldn’t answer about 1 bedrooms). Don’t know how it is to live there, but I wouldn’t want to rent at a place that won’t let us see the...
Read moreMy husband and I moved from NYC to 91 Sidney in December 2016. We got a puppy and needed more space so we moved in Dec 2018 to a great apt at 100 Landsdowne. We like being tenants of University Park. The management staff has always been responsive and the maintenance staff are efficient and good at their jobs. The amenities in both properties are quite nice—free gyms in both. The neighborhood is quiet and the T is 7-10 minutes away on foot. We encourage folks looking for good places to live in the Central Square area to check out University Park’s 4 properties. And, I swear, no one paid me to write this. I just believe in giving credit where it’s due and saying good...
