They can't be trusted alone with your device from my experience. I came in with my phone to get the old screen protector off, went to CVS just to catch mans opening her up. All he had to get was a simple phone card or an iFixit phone guitar pick. Then I found out that he replaced the screen when the screen itself wasn't the problem. So when I told him I went to the best rated tech school in Massachusetts he wanted to catch attitude and start smashing my phone back together. I thought I should still buy a screen protector anyway just in case whatever the hell he was doing fried my phone and well.. he told me I could buy a box of 'em for $20 just to not let me have the whole entire box, lying about a full repair that was never needed. I had to fight him to still walk out with my phone. Then he brought up some old beef with a different tech store that I actually handled and resolved an issue with that played the same game with me. Thanks to him I actually had to replace my screen anyway just to find he had swapped my original metal plate that belongs under the screen (digitizer) and obstructed the sensor cord a bit to where it snapped without even being tugged. As there was a tiny tear near the actual sensor bead. probs due to him since that phone was actually in new condition until he touched and dropped it a million times on his counter. All because I went to a superior tech school and he couldn't accept a female could be smarter than him. He told me If I wanted to work here that I needed to only ask for assistance or let a man do all the work cause a woman isn't supposed to be smarter than man. Mind you, he was out here watching iFixit for a phone, something he's supposed to be specialized for. I don't actually have to watch iFixt to fix a phone cause I actually went to tech school to specialize in phones, computers and tablets. I can even tell you what is what for any and every device. Read moreMy phone's LCD which is the screen of the phone is broken and I needed a replacement. I got the phone checked out and the person at the booth told me that I could pick it up tomorrow.
I thought everything was well on dandy and I'll pay $80 out of the store tomorrow.
I go tomorrow to pick up the phone and the person that does tells me that they couldn't fix it. He also said that he tried three or two LCDs to see if that was the issue. He tells me the issue is with the motherboard.
I said I understand and I asked him if there was a diagnosis report I could have. He said that there isn't such a thing. And that he would fix the motherboard for $200.
I told him that's okay I'd rather buy a new phone. And so he gave me the phone back and before I left he asked me to pay for the diagnosis. I had no problem with that and I said okay.
But when I saw the bill, the diagnosis was $50 or around that. I felt that it was too expensive just to look at the phone and inspect the problem.
But he didn't feel like budgeting on the price so I had to pay. After paying I asked him if he had a case for another phone I had. And he tells me no he does not carry the case for that phone.
And so I walked out of the store with a broken phone and my pocket was less full. I would have read this review with more stars if I was warned that I would have to pay for a diagnosis fee even if they couldn't fix the phone.
But I was given a warning, only the promise of a working phone. There should be disclaimers before any promises are made.

Read moreI recently got a screen replaced here. The screen came off from the top and clearly the screen was not of good quality since it cracked with a gentle push. I tried to get it fixed and the employee constantly accused me that it was not him who did the job, making all sorts of excuses and even made me go through my bank account to show him proof of my purchase, like I was trying to gain something out of this. After this terrible experience, all he did was put the screen back in place and let me know that "it was fixed" and that the broken screen was not his problem. I tried to get him to fix it and he said he could only offered me a 10% discount (even though they have a 30 day guarantee) and basically kicked me out of his store. Now, my phone has all sorts of problems : turning on/off, top portion of touch screen not working, as well as the top portion not being secure in place. I would not recommend this to anyone.
