Dion Gama Hair Braiding — Local services in Camden

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS SHOP!!! The worst braiding experience ever. I have been going to this salon for nine years. I have only dealt with the owner. The owner must be in Africa, now. The salon is filthy. The stylist are loud & rude. Watch your bag because they will over charge. All four ladies cross talk in their native tongue loudly over the customer’s head. Roaches and flies everywhere. There is no hand soap or toilet paper in the bathroom. Looks like the floor hasn’t been swept or mopped in a year. Be aware if you show a picture of the style you would like, you won’t get the style. Yes, your braids may be neat but it will not be the style you requested. If you tell the brained that she is braiding tight, they will start speaking in their native tongue- saying rude things about you and laugh. One braider made rude remarks about a lady being over weight. Another customer yelled at her braider for styling her hair wrong. Customer told her “if you didn’t know how to style you should have said so. Instead you wasted my time & hair. I’m not paying for this”! Customer was absolutely correct. When she left they called her rude names. My hair was braided so tight after I told her stop and don’t do it so tight. I left and took my hair down that night. I could not sleep it was so painful. Worst customer service ever! DO NOT PATRONIZE...

I come to the shop to get my hair braided. I never had a bad experience far as my hair getting done. I walk out of there without my head hurting and that’s a good thing cause most shops when you leave and your head is hurting because they braided so tightly or they pulling your scalp. My braids always last long time. What I don’t like about The workers is they always late. When you call For an appointment the day before Dion says OK you can come in at that time. They really need to work on their punctuality. And another thing. Nothing against no kids. But when some of the girls are braiding hair and they have their children with them, they have to stop, and then you sit there for 30 minutes waiting for them to come back and...

I had a appointment and when I got there 8 other people was there for the same appointment at 9:30 am, they were late and said I didn't have an appointment and they asked what number did I call so I had my cell phone right there and called the same number and salon ladies phone rang...OMG..so annoyed... the two women who showed was not on time, since salon was in Camden I was there by 7:30 am because it's never no parking and I came from Pleasantville which isn't a short ride. I was told the owner would do my hair. Then when I got there they said the owner was stuck in Africa and couldn't get back. They said that they couldn't do my hair and to come back on Saturday OMG. Isn't that the whole reason for making an appointment. I'm really disappointed I've been coming to the same place to get may hair done for over 16 years. Always a little unorganized and they rip your hair out, takes a lot of breaks, always on the phone but your hair always look nice in the end. They lost my service I will...
