On May 29, 2021, we purchased a blue upholstered queen bed that was advertised for sale both in the newspaper and on a sign in front of the store. According to the sales order receipt, we were supposed to receive the bed in 4-8 weeks.
On June 21, 2021, I emailed Missouri furniture for an update on my bed. Mark Ulam, the showroom manager stated "I did track your Ashley bed, the estimated time from Ashley is later July. Your sales professional Robbie will be watching your order. When he see’s that it has been shipped from Ashley he will reach out to you with an ETA of when you will be able to pick up your new bed."
On August 8, 2021, since we were past the end of July due date, I emailed Missouri furniture asking where my bed was. I did not receive an update or answer.
On August 9, 2021, we called Missouri furniture and were told by Robbie that the bed would be here in two weeks. When I stated that wasn't acceptable as I need a bed, he stated his manager would call us back. We never received a phone call back.
On August 18, 2021, I emailed again asking where my bed is. No response.
On August 23, 24 and 25, 2021, we called. First they said, why are you calling? The bed was delivered. We stated that it wasn't. He said he would look into it and call us back. No one called back. We called again the next day and they stated again that it has been delivered. We explained that no, it wasn't delivered. We didn't pay for delivery. We were picking it up. They said they would call us back. They never did. We called again, talked to a woman, she said she would look into it and call us back. Still not one phone call from Missouri furniture.
I have never had such bad customer service. My bed, that I paid for three months ago, is still not here.
Why won't they communicate with their customers? How are they considered the best furniture store in Missouri when they care nothing about their customers. It's not hard to communicate. I need a bed!

Read moreSales team is excellent to work with but it’s all down hill after that. We purchased an outdoor set with a fire pit and after only a few months quit working. I was told it was discontinued and to go to the hardware store and to just buy the parts and fix myself. I told them No Way! Since they couldn’t repair they agreed to take back and to just give me a store credit. Our next patio set purchase went from $2500 to over $7000. We wanted quality. With Covid, we waited 9 months but they let us keep the original set. So far so good. After 9 months, our set was delivered. That’s when the problems started. Their delivery team has no regard for property. Our front door must have been left open with the the dead bolt open when they were delivering and our front door was damaged from the wind tunnel created from both the front and back door being open. That was a nightmare in it self to get repaired. Their team then proceeded to put our $7000 dollar patio set together and I soon figured out how they had 11 pieces assembled in an hour. Half of the pieces were damaged from not being aligned properly and screws are literally sticking out where they shouldn’t. The customer care team is the next joke. They assured me that they would get me new pieces and correct the situation. After several months of me following up, I was told the set was discontinued and I could get a $200 discount. No way! I continued for 3 months to get a resolution and was refused to speak to an owner or a manager, being told I could take the $200 or a store credit. We already spent $20,000 at their sister store for our brand new condo and they had no similar outdoor furniture. I was then forced to dispute this purchase and now they are calling me. Stay away from this circus act. To conclude, when the initial delivery to furnish our unit happened, they damaged several walls which they did reimburse. I wouldn’t normally post something like this but their customer service...
Read moreFirst visit. Nice living room furniture and well-known quality name brands. Sally was extremely helpful and even let us take a piece of furniture home as we couldn't really tell if the color was right in the store lighting. Dropped one star as much of the furniture is pretty much an expected style and not enough more modern styles we were looking for.
Second visit. Shopping for bed. Sally helpful during selection process, but unresponsive afterwards. Workers in store said she was on the floor with other customers when I called 3 times. One time they said they would transfer me to her voice mail. When I spoke with the manager, he said they don't have personal offices or voice mail. I later went back in the store and asked Sally in person, she said she was off with her sister that day. The employees there need to get their stories straight.
Took forever to deliver our order and delivered wrong base. Hauled back in our base and box spring from their dirty truck.
Another long wait to get proper base. 2 workers who delivered base tried hard to set it up. Worked on it for hours. Said it wasn't going to work with our headboard. Workers were frustrated and so were we. Workers didn't have necessary tools or screws.
They needed to leave as they were behind schedule for their other deliveries. I wanted them to just take it all away, my husband said he thought he could set it up. So the workers left, and in about 20 min my husband and I had it all set up.
No apologies, follow-ups, renumerations, nothing. Plus the bed is not comfortable! Expensive yes, comfortable, no. What a disaster.
