If giving zero stars was an option, I absolutely would. This store was recommended to me by someone I know, and I had been highly looking forward to stopping in. On my birthday, I finally decided to go as a treat to myself since I love all things witchy. When we walked in I was immediately disappointed that it didn’t look as nice inside as some pictures on google made it look. But I was still determined to find some goodies to purchase since I had made the trip (Even though things were definitely overpriced.) My husband and I spent a decent amount of time walking around, seeing everything there was to see while I decided which items I wanted to purchase. Finally I decided on several items that totaled up to about $80. I was getting ready to go around and gather up the items I had decided on, when my husband saw something he thought his sister would love and he wanted to take a picture to send to her to see if she’d want it. When he picked the item up to take the picture, the clerk behind the desk says in the RUDEST tone “you’re supposed to BUY the items, not just take pictures of them.” I looked at her to see if she was kidding & she wasn’t, she had the dirtiest look on her face. We were in shock. Here we were about to buy $80 worth of her product and she wanted to get snotty over a picture of one item (that we planned to buy anyway if his sister liked it). Right then and there we decided she wouldn’t be getting a penny from us and we left. I could understand if she had had signs up that said “no photos please.” Of course we would have respected that. But no, there were no such signs. I own a small business, and I can say I see NO harm in people taking photos. Most of the time they’re doing one of 2 things: sending it to someone who might like it (which is what we were doing) OR taking pictures to post on social media which is free promotion! Needless to say, my mood was totally ruined on my birthday and something I hoped would be a fun treat to myself was ruined. We will not be returning or giving this woman a penny. And we certainly will NOT be recommending this place to a single soul. We found another crystal shop which was so beautiful and neat inside. We were treated with so much kindness & I even got a free goody...
Read moreMy friends and I had set up some of our art to be sold here. We also scheduled an event to run and were told by the owner that she would advertise and bring people in to the event for us to vend our art and even for her to sell her own things. We did all of the promoting for it and when it came time for the event I wasn't able to make it due to my car being broke down and not running to which she told my friend was my problem and I should have figured something out even though she did nothing for us except let us vend outside. Then after the event she was so mad and petty that she demanded we come get our art immediately she was rude to us the entire time we did business and even talked badly behind our backs because a couple of us couldn't make the event that WE scheduled and that WE promoted. She was incredibly insensitive to my pregnant friend and said very disgusting things about her pregnancy.i am so glad to NO LONGER be doing business with someone so...
Read moreA trip to Planet Art is a gift I give myself each Christmas season! I love browsing and soaking up the good feels in the room, of which there are many. The gifts are priced beautifully and the selection is so unique and fantastic! I have gotten a glass piece of candy, a miniature rubber chicken, and a small piece of drift wood from the owner upon check out as a thank you token, which are all in my purse all the time. I look at them as good luck charms! Grab some cash (cash only) give yourself an hour, and go browse and chat. It's lovely to see how engaged this shop owner is, both with her inventory as well as the guests browsing. If you are someone who is offended by someone asking you to not take pictures of the merchandise, you are out of touch. Try and do that in Europe and they won't be as kind as this shop owner is. Lighten up, go buy some cool stuff, and have a...
