You know, we often rate 5 stars because it's muscle memory and we're being what we think is nice? Don't get me wrong, it's nice and can influence potential and existing customers from a wide base, but we should be objective. The people behind these walls deserve it. The amount of work and care behind this operation would floor you.

Fastest service I've ever had at a shop with a full lot. (NOTE: keep this is mind runners of the rat race. You'll still be on time!)
Most importantly... A shop that has a heart the size of the Hall of Fame, only with a mightier pulse...
My mother is not a coffee drinker. Not a problem at Walkie Talkie. The list of tea and original creations outside of the holy bean/seed is vast, but manageable. They've created a menu that reminds of a children's book. The pictures are incredibly well illustrated and play a part in the nostalgic feel of the experience and shop. Sharing this with my mother made me feel like I was in a small world - population of 2. Amazing what a scone and well crafted drink can do.
The owner actually served us curb style. He even remembered me from our email conversations prior to my visit. The cherry-on-top was he made the thoughtful effort to offer their incredible stickers. They've been applied to my brewing equipment at home. The art is cool and promotes Walkie Talkie and Heart coffee. Yeah, Heart! I won't even sugarcoat this... Buy a pound bag of the Stereo blend. I brewed it drip and pour over and perfect cups each time. I'm sure if needed you can request a grind from the dedicated shop employees. Every coffee bean offered is top notch and very, very fresh. Rost dates are stamped on each bag.
The merchandise is creative and reminds me of a comic book illustrator sketching at a diner (window seat). I highly recommend the official WALKTIE TALKIE MUG. Perfect size, base and handle. Plus, the art is awesome!
I wanna say so much more, but I talk too much to begin with. Places like this are a jet fuel in my passion-tank and drive me to a place that has euphoria brewed hot and ready to serve.
WE LOVE WHAT MAKES US HAPPY. I'M ADDICTED TO THAT FEELING AND...
Read moreWhen your customers park in front of the neighborhood houses instead of your parking lot, and the person who owns the house then parks in your parking lot, you should take that up with the owner of the house and vehicle. Not come up to someone you know didn't park there, while outside waiting for a ride, and yell at them to move the vehicle. I told you it wasn't my vehicle and to talk to the owner. And instead, you ran away in a huff to put barriers up so he couldn't come move it anyways, after yelling and being rude to me. Had you came up to me politely I would have gone inside and told the owner of the vehicle you wanted him to move. He's not my significant other, nor am I the owner of that vehicle, so the dispute isn't between me and you, it's between you and him. Regardless, being rude was uncalled for no matter who you came to talk to. The spot in front of the houses may be public property, but you have a parking lot your customers can park in (that was empty besides the house owners vehicle at this time, so those customers could have parked in your lot), maybe let them park there instead of encouraging them to clog up the street parking around the neighborhood. Or just be polite when wanting something from someone? I don't know. Too bad I've told my friends there's a coffee shop right there and a few have actually gone in and ordered coffee. Even this very morning! My uncle went in. If I knew how rude you are to random people who aren't the cause of your problems, I wouldn't have suggested him to stop there. I've worked in retail and food as well, and I'm not sure how many times this has been an issue between you and the vehicle owner, but I've never started a conversation concerning an issue with someone, as rude as that. Especially if I wasn't sure who I was talking to was the one I SHOULD be talking to. Maybe this guy should not be representing the shop when there's a not so serious issue that...
Read moreWhat a great little place! After doing some research on where to get good coffee in Canton I landed here. Coffee was great service was even better!!! Everyone is friendly, happy, answered my questions with smiles.
They let us try a sample of the Buddy brew so we could get an idea of what their homemade syrup tasted like! They do an AMAZING job with their syrups. I don’t like a lot of sugar in my coffee anymore, there syrups are subtle and just the right about of sweet - if you want that. My son got the Buddy Brew and I got a honey cinnamon coffee (locally sourced honey). All very good. Next time I will try one of their pour overs (which is what I thought I was going to get - but the local honey got me :))
We also had a lemon pastry poptart - excellent! This place makes all their own stuff - I love places like this and they do it very well!!!! Will definitely come back here if I get to Canton again.
My only complaint is that the place is small! The atmosphere was very alive - people seemed to enjoy being there and everyone was all smiles - even to out of towners like us. Wasn’t a lot of seating, but we weren’t planning on sitting there anyway. Great little gem overall!!!!
Thank you to the baristas who served us!!! Phenomenal job...
