They carry a wide selection, including all of your veggie and fruit basics, as well as numerous Asian vegetables, fresh herbs, microgreens, and mushrooms. They also carry eggs, nuts, dried fruits, pretzels, drinks, and a large selection of jellies, jams, preserves, salsas, and even mustard. They will even have fresh baked goods from local bakeries, though many of those will often sell out before closing. They carry seasonal produce, including pumpkins and squash in the fall.

Absolutely the best prices and produce in Carbondale. Conveniently located in the Murdale Shopping Center, Fresh Foods has a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. They even carry local produce! Fresh Foods accepts SNAP, cash, and cards. The staff is friendly and helpful. Fresh Foods also carries a nice variety of snacks. I recommend the Cajun peanuts and the curry puffs, if you can get them before they are gone! They're that delicious! Most of the food is either so under ripe or picked so early that it will never ripen proper, or almost on the verge or being spoiled. You can't drop in just to buy fruit during your lunch break because they only do debit/credit transactions over $5. The staff is rude. I went to return my basket when I realized the quality of the food, and the lady shelving the food acted as if I was going to run out of the door with fruit.
