Marjorie's Gems is a destination. I could browse and shop there for hours - maybe days. They have an incredible assortment of vintage jewelry, and if you wanted just one piece you would likely have a hard time deciding.

They will look over your collection of jewelry you no longer want and aren't going to wear, tell you what's real gold or silver and what's not, and give you a fair price right then and there. You may feel a little guilty selling great-aunt Martha's ring that you never particularly liked anyway (and maybe you didn't like great-aunt Martha either!), but think how happy Martha would be if she knew how much its future owner appreciates you selling it to Marjorie's Gems so it can be worn and loved again!

They will take time and help you pick whatever jewels and baubles you're looking for. Though, sometimes they're a little rude but that's every small biz in Carlisle. Prices are decent. Stone came loose in my ring about a week after I bought it and they "paid" to fix it but treated me like it was my fault, like I told to woman when we bought it, that I wanted a certain setting because I knit and I don't want my yarn snagging on the setting, she did a great job helping me find the proper setting, but when I returned acted like knitting was the reason my stone came loose...it's knitting not jackhammering. BUT they did fix it, no charge and simply said next time it would be on me to pay to fix, fine that's understandable, I just didn't appreciate the way she went about telling me so. It was also clean when I got it back and otherwise the service...
