Read moreIf I could not give any stars, I would. When we first arrived at 430pm, the workers were too lazy to count heads and assumed there were too many occupants. We had to wait for about 20 minutes. We had 7 people with us. After a few people walked out, they allowed us to enter. Upon entering, the pool was not full of people. We have been there with way more people inside. The restrooms were disgusting and no toilet paper in most of the stalls. Some of the lifeguards were sitting with friends, talking to each other, and not paying attention to swimmers. The pool was supposed to close at 6. This time was confirmed upon our arrival. However, the lifeguards blew their whistles to clear the pool at 530. The water was very dirty and murky. Horrible experience. Stick with Artesia...
Read moreWe loved the swimming area in the river! Perfect for the kids to cool off on a hot day. They also have rentals like boats, paddle boats, canoe's..... They have an excellent snack shack. There are lots of trees for shade but not right next to the river. If you're fishing you must provide your shade. There is always space between fisherman so it's a great fishing spot. There are also bathroom and changing buildings. They are usually pretty clean and always have toilet paper. Jungle Jim and splash pad are also great. If the kids don't like swimming in the river then they have a small inexpensive water park available too. You can't go wrong with visiting here. We drive 2 hrs to get here and...
