Saints & Scissors — Local services in Carol Stream

I found this place by seeing their new store front (which they are moving into later of this year) and did a quick google search and saw that this would be the type of business I would like to support - alternative and edgy. I wasn’t wrong. And not only are they that, they are warm and welcoming. I was paired with Alyssa, a new stylist with Saints & Scissors with four years of experience and a great personality to match. I headed in with photo references and Alyssa took a look over, examined my face structure and we went just a smidge different way of the photo references but not much. She took the time to see what would best suit my face. I’m so happy I went with her suggestion! I walked out completely feeling new and lighter. She only took about an inch off in length but she shaped it so well. I can honestly say my eyes got a bit watery from happiness because I finally felt beautiful again. I will definitely come back as soon as they move into their new place and keep booking with Alyssa if she would like to continue with me as a client.

Side note: had an unexpected mini panic attack in the middle of the haircut and Alyssa took it so well and was accommodating and helped me laugh it off and wasn’t stand offish afterwards. I can’t explain how much I...

Love love love this salon! Just happened to walk in to make a appt for my son not knowing anything about it and Stephanie took the appt and the hair cut was also booked with her. I don’t know where to begin because I don’t have one bad thing to say!! I’m just so grateful and happy I walked in because now I even see Stephanie myself. I’m very picky with my hair have been going to same girl to get my hair cut almost faithfully 19 yrs she’s had a few different girls to color my hair and just started to get unhappy with the color for sure and then one day I decided to make my appt with Stephanie and wow!! She made me feel like me again brought me back to the fun funky style I use to get and not a lot of people can’t cut short hair good and that’s what I was afraid of that I wouldn’t find someone else but I Did!!!! And couldn't be more happy!!! Can’t wait till my next appt because her magic fingers will really have my color to where I should have been for way over 2 yrs and Stephanie corrected my color 99.9 % just on the first appt!!! I've been going to Michelle here for well over a year at this point and she's absolutely amazing.

Up until her I had never seen the same hair dresser more than once and I usually moved to various shops because no one really cut my hair in a way that spoke to me. I usually cut it short, let it grow out and then just had long hair until I cut it off again. Michelle nailed the pixie cut I had always wanted but couldn't articulate the first time I saw her and I couldn't be happier or more impressed. She's an absolute master of her craft and it shows. She's quick, efficient, talented and also the nicest person ever.

I've gotten stopped repeatedly over the last year by strangers who wanted to compliment my hair (and it's hot dyed any fun colors) and that was never a thing that happened to me before.
