We really enjoyed our experience at the Cat House. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The cats seemed very well cared for and the fact that they were friendly, playful, and not skittish said a lot to me. The Cat House was very clean (surprisingly so, given all the cats!), open, well lit, colorful, and inviting. It was a perfect experience for my cat-loving son who can’t have a cat right now. They sell some bottled drinks and snacks, but this is not a “cafe” like similar places, so don’t count on buying a hot latte while you’re there. We were there for the cats, so it wasn’t a problem for us, though we had been under the impression we could buy hot drinks. There is another coffee shop in the plaza, however it does not sell hot beverages either, just coffee beans, so plan ahead accordingly. 😉 Make sure to bring socks as you are required to take off shoes and wear socks. I believe they sell some there if you forget. They also sell some other cute cat merchandise including some locally crafted items. You’ll have a ton of fun if petting and playing with kitties is your thing!!

The Cat House is a wonderful addition to the Roselle area, and I think it's the only cat cafe in the Chicago suburbs. When I visited, they had 24 cats and kittens, who were all adoptable through their partner, Heartland Animal Shelter. There was a range of kitty personalities, from feisty and playful to a little timid but still cute. There are snacks and bottled drinks available for purchase, but note that it's not a full service cafe/food establishment. (This is common with many cat cafes due to city/county and health regulations.) There is also cat merch for sale like stickers, totes, clothing, and more. Be sure to read the FAQ for rules, and book online if you want to ensure a spot! I truly felt more relaxed and happy after getting in some adorable kitty cuddles and playtime!

People need to understand and respect that cats are each unique just like any body and any animal else-wise. There is a certain time of day they are sleepy and nappy. May not always want to be stimulated and playful, that’s ok. I had a blast as I am in-between situations and just left a home with a pet and feeling lonely. The cafe seem to be very successful in finding homes for cats and the cats are good to find their own space. You pay for initial hour(45mins?) and can buy a treat or drink to enjoy while you’re there. There are cafe merch and many lovely items cat-related (obvs) to buy. If I wasn’t already overwhelmed with the desire to want a cat and been shopping already today, would def buy merch/trinkets next time. 15/10. May become a regular.🙃💚💚💚

I love it here! It's so nice to have a cat cafe near where I live instead of having to drive ALL the way into the city to visit cats. I am so thankful that this opened up and is helping save cats' lives. It has pre packaged snacks and cat themed cookies from Chicago Pastry. They have a variety of drinks from bottled water to coffee themed drinks. Every cat is taken care and the staff looks out for them so if any guests come in and disturbs the peace and the cats, the staff don't play around! Plus this is for cat people and gentle kids, please have everyone in your group know the cat house rules and be on their best behavior! *Some of these negative reviews really don't help or offer great insight. This place is a great environment to interact with cats and can most definitely help with choosing your future furry friend. A LOT of the public likes this idea vs cats being kept in cages. Don't write a negative review before getting ALL the facts or reaching out to the owner for more information. Your entitlement doesn't belong here among these...

I was super excited to go to this cat cafe for the first time. However we were told we were disrespectful after our visit because we brought in treats. The last time my friends went the staff said it was okay to bring them in and so they thought it would be okay again. They saw us with the treats and even told us to be careful with how much we gave the cats and we had been respectful and stopped and then they never said anything after that. The staff waited until the end to tell us and just ruined our experience. Being called disrespectful when I spent money in your place was super horrible of your staff. No where does it say that we can not bring in treats and then after WE leave they decide to post on their instagram about this. How BAD of business to do that. Maybe have your rules updated. Supposed to be a fun and safe space for everyone and the staff completely ruined it for their business. First and last time there because of how uncomfortable the staff made us feel. Do not go here very unfriendly people...
