Cute place, overpriced, okay food. Our waitress was new maybe, not sure. We asked for separate checks, waitress said we’re have to tell who’s stuff is what (even though we all had waters and a plate) but no biggie. 20mins later, she comes back with our checks without us helping her, which is great. Everything was correct. Half of us paid cash, other half with card. Another 15/20mins pass by, the waitress PICKS UP our checks and money/cards. Returns them, the people that paid cash (including me) get the exact amount of cash back. So we’re confused, did we not get charged? Did we eat for free? What’s going on? ANOTHER 15mins later, the waitress comes back and says, “is everything ok?” 😒 we explain, and she tells us they don’t have exact charge and the restaurant prefers we either pay with cash if we have the exact amount or with card. But she didn’t even bother to tell us that when she returned with our cash the first time. The whole back and forth every 15/20mins was getting annoying. I was also waiting for a box for my food, which I didn’t get until the whole money thing was sorted out. This doesn’t seem like a big deal but the place was empty and a whole lot of waiting around for nothing during...
Read moreDecided to try something different than our typical Mr. A's, Mapleberry, Millies,Dino's, or Southern. Get there with family of 4, half empty seating and 30 minute wait. Probably short staffed. We decide to wait, and in the mean time ask for a menu so we can help speed up their staff when we get seated. They don't have enough menus. They'll get us one as they get them. In the meanwhile, people coming after us, getting seated. Others come in, told wait time, they turn around and leave. Money, walking out the door.
Hostesses, not doing much, hands in pockets, getting menus back to their stand. Manager did talk to us and apologized, but with a "you've only been waiting 12 minutes". 12 minutes doesn't seem too long if there's not one table open, not true their case. Hardest part of business is getting customers in the door. When a business has money in hand with customers there to spend it, worst us to let them walk away.
We decided not to spend $100 on brunch with restaurant that doesn't care much about customer experience. Went up the street to a packed Mr. A's and got seated in less than 10 minutes. Wrote this review while sipping hot cup of Mr. A's coffee.
Thanks...
Read moreNew place instead of bulldogs is okay. You can tell it was a quick turnaround from a bar. The menu was slightly harder to read as it was kind of blurry and the printing job wasn’t very good. On picture it looked a lot better than in person which was weird. Overall there are a lot of options on the menu but it seems like they tried too add too much to it rather than having a traditional breakfast menu. We were sat by the garage doors and near the front door and it was freezing there for us so that was not idea. The workers were very nice though and tried to make sure the experience was good. I am surprised though that was is a “new” place and the cafes hours on the front door are already coming off, like I said you can tell they tried for a quick...
