"-Hiking through a natural dirt/rock trail that will lead us to beautiful hidden waterfalls that are not visited by many where you can swim, take pictures or simply relax to the sound of cascading waters.
-Visiting an Observation Tower that will provide mesmerizing panoramic views of the eastern coast area of the Island and the peaks of the mountain range."
So for what it was our guide Christian was great! Knowledgeable and took good care of us. However something about this tour just seemed very, very, very underwhelming. Above I quoted right from their website what the $175 per person El Yunque tour and Bio Bay package included. While the bio bay part was great the El Yunque tour left much, much, much to be desired. Almost so that we felt that we were semi cheated out of experiencing something that could've been really great. Especially when you read other reviews and see their pictures of what they did.
We did zero hiking. We did not visit any Observation tower. We saw no panoramic views of the mountain range. And we saw zero waterfalls much less any hidden ones. All we did was drive to a small cave for 15-20 mins then drove to a watering hole for another 45 mins to an hour then left. Then we drove to a sliding rock for another 45 mins. After that we stopped at a beach to eat at a local restaurant. Literally that was our El Yunque experience. We never even reached the actual entrance to El Yunque. It seemed like we were just on the outskirts and the bottom of the rain forest we never went up any mountain. I hate to leave a negative review but I would not like to see anyone else get their hopes and expectations up especially when you're visiting a natural wonder like a rainforest but end up leaving empty handed with no pictures or videos to...
Read moreThis is an EXCELLENT family owned company! Our cruise ship docked at 1:00 pm, and did not offer a tour to the El Yunque National Forest. All companies online offered morning tours only. The website for Natural Wonders was organized and professional, so I emailed them about taking an afternoon tour for our family of 5 people. They said YES and we had a fantastic 5-hour afternoon! I booked with the owner Raul, who answered all of my questions. His son Cristian met us where the the cruise ship dock meets the street, and he took us on an awesome tour. He was VERY knowledgeable and fun to spend the day with! We had time to visit sites in the El Yunque National Forest plus he gave us a driving tour of Old Town. We added a stop at a small roadside restaurant to try the traditional Puerto Rican dish called Mofongo, which was delicious. I HIGHLY recommend booking your tour with Raul at Natural Wonders Puerto Rico! ...
Read moreIf you are new to the island, this is the perfect way to see it. We did the Northwest Adventure Tour and it was worth every cent. There was no way we would have seen as much as we did in one day on our own since we did not rent a car and it was our first time in PR. I would have done all of the tours they offered but they do require a minimum of patrons to have registered in all. There were not enough people signed up for us to do the smaller day tour but the team gave notice and called me to let me know and to rebook for the longer tour. It was a good thing. Christian is so cool, down to earth and made the day perfect. Professional, very easy with pick up/drop...
