Not impressed. I'm not much of a review writer, but this needs to be said. I went in with a terribly painful tooth. I got an x-ray done, taps of the tooth done, which hurt, of course, and some automatic assumptions that my painful tooth was from my TMJ Disorder. I've lived with TMJ Disorder for years now and I've never had it be a specific tooth. Additionally, which I told the dentist, it was my crowned tooth that was hurting. Instead of listening to me or even getting a dental instrument out to explore the gum area further to see if something may have been stuck underneath the crown, he brushed me off and sent me on my way. I got the bill with hardly anything being taken off from my insurance. I ended up going to another dentist a couple weeks later after suffering as much as I could. I was worried that I had just gotten screwed over with my insurance since I'd have to go to another dentist again in such a short period of time. However, I was in so much pain that I couldn't tolerate it anymore. When I went into this other dentist, he hooked me up! It was a complete 180 degree from the experience at Poston's office! Not only did he find the problem (AND IT WASN"T MY TMJ DISORDER), he gave me the medicines I needed to keep any infection at bay. He didn't brush me aside like I was wasting his time. Additionally, my insurance too care of most of the bill like it was supposed to. I was told it was a coding issue. Poston's office told me there was a deductible that had to be satisfied and that's why the amount charged to me was four times higher. I still haven't figured out why the extreme difference.
There are great dentists out there, but from what I've seen, unless you have an open and shut case without any complications in your mouth, Dr. Poston isn't it. I'm sure he's great for just the normal routine care. Maybe I'm just a bit too complicated for his office. That's okay. I've found a new dentist now and I think he's great! I just think it's important to get this information out there for people looking for a dentist...
Read moreI was seen on 10-23 with a dental emergency and was told I can't be scheduled until my pre Auth comes back from insurance. My insurance pays 1000 my portion was almost 5000.... I even offered to pay up front and deal with my insurance on my own.... still no luck on getting my work done... In all my years of being in the dentistry field I've never seen a office not schedule someone who has 5000 dollars to hand you.... then you have a rude unprofessional receptionist who has 0 customer service skills.. she's rude to anyone who was trying to help me get my dental Auth put into the System FOR THEM TO DO MY WORK... I was told they got a spam error when trying to send to Aflac lol we have the BEST security in the world. They were thinking I'm trying to manipulate the Auth it seems. I bet if there family came in they would take care of them right away. It's 11/3/23 I still haven't heard from Joyce to get scheduled or any type of communication and the pre Auth for my work STILL isn't in our system to get processed and approved... I feel they are doing this on purpose ... it's all good I'll take my 5000 to another dentist who wants it. I can go to any dentist in the world but I wanted to stay close to home... I'll drive 10 hours before we come...
Read moreI am from Minnesota and was on a trip visiting the area and had to have a tooth pulled. Called many places and no one could fit me in. They had no issue fitting me in and taking great care of me. I had two teeth extracted. I originally was only going to have one pulled, but he pointed out the tooth next to it was also bad and should be pulled. I was concerned with a large gap in my mouth. He stitched it up and it seams to be healing very well. The team was friendly and caring. Will be my go to place if I ever need dental work done again when I’m in the...
