Royal Nail & Spa — Local services in Cary

My friend and I have been looking for a new nail salon because we always felt very out of place at our previous haunt. We were excited to try Royal because the prices are good and it has great reviews. We were both VERY disappointed with our pedicures. The woman who did my pedicure cut my toenails too deep and it really hurt when she pulled the corners off. She was literally ripping skin off of my toes. I was shocked that I didn't start bleeding. I pulled my foot away from her at one point, it hurt that much. Then she hurt me AGAIN while she was scrubbing my soles. When I left the edges of my toes were pink along the sides of my nails from where she cut them back and they are now painful to walk on. My friend also had a terrible experience, but for entirely different reasons. We will not be returning to this establishment. It is possible that we had a unique experience, as the place was VERY busy. So busy, in fact, that when a group of ladies came in for their appointment they had to wait because no one was available to help them. Maybe they are better at manicures than pedicures. I don't know. Maybe our ladies were rushing to finish up because it was so busy and as a result we got sloppy service. Again, I couldn't say. Jenny is the best nail tech ever. Really makes your nails look beautiful and natural looking. Too bad I have to rewrite this post. Today is my last day going to Royal Nails and Spa located in Cary. I've witnessed some things that doesn't seem right to me. For starters, Jenny is one of the best ones to do nails. That is why I faithfully stayed with her for FOUR YEARS. Moving forward, I started to feel unnoticed and uncomfortable with the way I am greeted differently than everyone else. I get it, Jenny's nail salon clientele is yt women. I don't ever see anyone else besides "ME." I addressed my concerns to Jenny's nail salon and her staff, I was told I was stressing her. I come for appointments and never greeted, never offered anything to drink, my appointments either pushed back, or waiting for her to finish someone else's nails at my appointment time. I am a very LOYAL person when it comes to the person I'm dealing with. but with the kind of changes I have been experiencing, I will cut my losses instead of going back. With all due respect, I have to give a heads up against this establish to all who want lasting nail service. The owner appears to be professional in the beginning but his staff is not and he will support them right or wrong.. I've spend more time in this nail salon for repairs than actually enjoying them, my nails would come apart at the base too frequent, so I went to the owner and he responded that it was not their fault but that it was my fault for having long nails and both women there chimed in , basically ganging up on me as if I destroyed my own nails.
