The Original NY Pizza — Restaurant in Cary

Wow! I LOVE THIS PLACE --THE PIZZA --THE KINDNESS! I'm adding to my review after multiple visits here! I’m from North Carolina, so I I believe NY pizza MUST be the best since I love their pizza so much! They have thin crust and thick crust, always deliciously hot out of the oven with kind care — the manager greets everyone with a smile and a kind hello, you get to look at all the just-made choices where you choose your topping and they pop it in that pizza oven to get it piping hot & paying is easy. Then they let you know your order is ready, smiling—AND, I even heard the guy behind the counter, who saw the man with the kid, ask if he’d like a “kid cut.” Where else would they notice—much less ask—if they can do more to HELP?! It seems like a place where groups from work gather and yet it was comfy for me alone at this small table on the side. Almost every table was filled at lunchtime and no one waited very long, plus you sit at your table chatting til your order is ready then go get it when they call your name, It’s easy, DELICIOUS, outstanding and so...

Food was good. I wont lie. I considered giving 3 stars but because the service was decent, I decided not to. However, as my pizza slices were prepared, I watched the guy with no gloves on his hands, scratching his face, go into his backpack to get his phone and type on it before putting it back, and then going to my slices of pizza to finish putting toppings on them without ever washing his hands. Now you may not have a problem with that because the pizza is then going into an oven. However, I don't like somebody randomly touching credit cards, strangers dollars bills or coin change, and their cell phones then scratching their body parts with no gloves on and then touching my food. And because of that, I personally, willl never be back because the manager stood there and watched his employee do all of this and didn't stop him or address the situation. And I wasn't about to make a scene since everybody had been so nice.

I love this company but am very disappointed in the service at this particular store. Just tried to order out for delivery, a store that is only 3 miles away, tried to tell them where I lived and had to repeat myself multiple times while spelling my address several times. Once the rep finally got my address down, he put me on hold for 10 min only to come back and tell me that they "do not" delivery to my address because it's out of their delivery radius...3 miles is out of their radius. I'm sorry but what qualifies for your radius, 3 blocks? Needless to say I was less than enthused about customer service at this location. Was able to call their sister store....1 mile away, meaning 4 miles away from me...which was further from me and I was able to receive the excellent customer service and quality of food that I am used to.
