The Cary Pub — Restaurant in Cary

Previously 5 star now down to 3. For years this place had a great place w/ a rockstar bartender Brook. Recent times I've been in there they've had other new/young bartenders so she may have moved on. You can't understand the importance of having a good bartender esp. with a local place like this. It's that familiar, cozy feel that keeps you coming back and with her gone, that seems to be gone as well. The new bartenders aren't terrible but just don't offer the same level of customer service and friendliness she offered. One of them seems more interested on what's going on her phone than she does on the bar. Granted it's a hard job as these bartenders also have to run food orders but still. But please ownership consider getting more experienced bartenders and paying whatever it takes to bring people who know the importance of treating each customer well.

Still not a bad local place with lots of TVs and good bar food but for my football watching this fall even with this place being very close, I still think I'll go to their competitors. The Cary Pub is exactly what you’d expect from your friendly neighborhood hangout—good beer, good food, and a laid-back vibe that makes you want to come back for more. It’s the kind of place where everybody knows your name (or will, after a couple of rounds).

The beer selection is solid and the food hits the spot—nothing fancy, just honest bar fare that pairs well with your drink of choice. Think burgers, wings, and the occasional daily special that’ll surprise you in a good way.

The only downside? The crowd of smokers hanging out front can be a little rough to navigate, especially when it’s busy. You might feel like you’re running a gauntlet just to get in, but hey, it’s all part of the charm, right?

Ms. Sharon Brown who left a 1 star review left the entire bar STUNNED when she came into the establishment with arguably the absolute worst attitude I’ve seen in my life.

She was complaining that the wings were, “too large”. I kid you not..

“These wings are TOO large, how am I gone eat that? Why did they get so big?”

When the bartender said they’ve always been that size she said “I DONT LIKE THE FLAVOR AND THEY TOO BIG!”.

Is it because it’s too big now or the flavor? Or is it because you’re a miserable person spreading misery to everyone you get in contact with?

Whole bar hated her, and she kept talking about the review she was gonna leave which is why I wanted to make sure I did a 5-star to even out the crazy old lady review.
