My daughter and I have been going here for over 10 years. No matter what service I get I always tip 20% even when the wait is long or I have to do a touch up at home afterwards. Last month, I got the best pedicure ever from a new employee. Last Wednesday, I went in to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. They were extremely busy which was no surprise with the upcoming holiday weekend. I was going to come back, but I was taken care of without much of a wait. Over the weekend, I realized a small area was not completely still had a fair amount of hair. I went in today to have the area waxed again. There was only one customer in there. 2 employees were sitting there reading magazine. I explained to an older woman what happened. She told me to lay down and she would take a look. She asked me who had taken care of me. Never once have a seen anyone wear name tags. Never once have I had someone give me his/her name without me asking. The older woman asked me if I had the service done there!!! I said of course. You would have thought I was stealing equipment or refusing to pay after a treatment. She was soon asked to take another customer for manicure while switching me with another new, I assume a trainee(she is a new girl with glasses, never seen her before). Honestly, she did not know how to polish nails. She dropped the polish bottle as soon as she started and left briefly to clean the mess. The polish was too thick and of poor quality that it was lumpy and not applicable . The older tech asked her to add some thinner which was not any better after either. She was doing multiple strokes on a single length. Sorry to say but my 7y old niece would have done a better job than her. She took more than half hour just to polish my nails while cleaning her mess after every brush stroke. I really got restless the way she did her job. Im Very forgiving and tolerant but when we pay for the services, it is basic that they train their employees before allowing to work on customers. I tipped the elderly technician who did the massage part but not the young lady who ruined my salon experience. I had to ask for a discount and she only wanted to knock off 10%. I refused to pay more than $20 bc I also saw the guy in the back talking to another tech about the situation and smiling. She tried to refuse that much of a discount but she eventually let me go bc I tried to explain that he hurt me alot and I saw him talking about me. So unprofessional!
