HighCraft Cary — Restaurant in Cary

The owner Matt is as knowledgable as they come and willing to spend the time to teach and answer all questions. He makes you feel welcome and valued. Whether you are new to craft beer or an expert, you will feel right at home. He has trained his staff well - they embody his character and passion for what they do. Jon and Nate are great and I am proud to now call all of them my friends. The vibe is very chill - a small neighborhood bar full of wonderful beer options. You can order / bring food in or purchase snacks. They have a digital tap display in store and available online and always has various styles rotating in and out. Multiple coolers are stocked for a quick carry-out or you can select a chilled can/bottle to drink in-store. No limited purchases or anything - you can mix and match carry-out selections. As I mentioned, they can all guide you well. Dog friendly. Small area out front with a couple of tables and chairs if you feel like hanging outside. Very small bar area with limited seating! I saw four people sitting the bar area and that pretty much fills up the place! But lots of odd open floor space mostly goes unused. The whole layout of the bar just seems poorly thought out and doesnt fully use all the space wisely! So if you get there early enough to be one of the four people at the bar.....you may find out that they possibly have some decent beers....But the night I went I wasnt so lucky and I received not as much as a greeting! So I left without making a purchase and had to go to the gas station next door and buy some Bud Light! But hey.....I could have spent 14 dollars a six pack on some high brow hops in a crowded uptight...

I have a 70 hour work week, so I only had one block of 4 hours and I wanted to make it count as a great date night with my wife. We wanted to do something different, not just going out to eat. We went to the Chinese joint next door that was great and then we settled into the HighCraft Beer Market. Fast forward 2 hours, we were having the time of our life playing a card game and sipping on an awesome selection of beers. Nate our bartender was extremely friendly and made a great pour on each beer. He was so friendly and made it a great experience. The patrons here seem to be really friendly as well. Might want to see what is in the water round...
