I was greeted as soon as I walked in and directed to precise area I needed. The store was clean, tidy, well stocked, and nicely displayed. I needed a camp chair for my fat self, and found several options that met my requirements that I was able to test for comfort and quality. I also needed a sun umbrella that clips to a camp chair. There was a nice selection of colors in 2 styles. This was my first visit to this specific store. The check-out configuration was confusing, but the helpful clerk guided me directly to her register forgoing the proper queue traffic control. Pleasant experience, and I will return to this store...

They have posters everywhere claiming they don't tolerate discrimination but refused to allow an ADA exception to reopening the cage gate to allow us to walk back to our vehicle to the door we entered in. Instead forcing us to walk around the outside of the mall. The mall was not closed. All it would have taken was to pull up a door and let us out. Simple solutions apparently beyond the decision making of management. Best of...

I am not a picky man. That said, the selection was very poor and seemed to only carry the high or very low (crappy) end of product. ... Academy is regional, but also, REI, Whole Earth, Cabella's, Bass Pro Shops --- no question, any listed here are better on your time, budget and you'll find the need or want w/o frustration...
