The Doolittle — Restaurant in Castro Valley

The Doolittle is the only bar I go to in Castro Valley. It's a cute little bar with about a half dozen booths that seat about 6 people. Two high tops that also seat about 6 and about enough room at the bar for maybe 8 to 10. Also presently have an outside tent that could probably fit a dozen or so people (though no one was using it at the time, opting to be inside instead). A selection of about a dozen beers on tap that rotate over the month or so, always something new and different. Also have standard bottled beer, and plenty of liquors. Parking is pretty limited. Often have to park on the street. Might be able to park across from the hospital just north of the parking lot. Do not park in the southern parking lot area, they tow...

Many local and microbreweries on tap for that following. Rotating ciders for that following. Handful of crafted cocktails on the menu for those who drink them and basic belly up the bar folks can be happy here too.

The decorations are interesting, Pinterest meets rustic Castro Valley flare. TVs can be a bit too much some nights. When the right Bartender is there the music is a key element making this place something else.

It was standard fair, high lesbian count neighborhood bar. At least it would be standard if there were any real drinking establishments worth their salt in the San Leandro/Castro Valley area. Sadly, it there are not, so this place "seemed" amazing except for the 30 dollars for 2 beers and a shot. Does it have to come from all directions?
