We specifically needed white dress shoes for being a flower girl soon, and the employees were very helpful, friendly, and efficient getting us exactly what we needed! Bonus: there was an incredibly chill little old hypoallergenic dog laying happily in the store, so that was fun for the kids.

The selection of kids shoes was great. There were several brands I've never heard of, one of which the lady said are designed to be able to be washed in the washing machine -- any mom whose kids get muddy here in Central Virginia can certainly appreciate that feature! 🙌

When my first baby was born, I researched what types of shoes were the best and discovered that the sole needs to be so flexible that you can easily bend the shoe in your hand, and that's exactly the type of children's shoes they sell here. You don't want your toddler or small kids clunking around in shoes that don't flex, shoes that are heavy, or shoes that don't fit great, so going to The Cobbler's Wife to get measured and see what fits well is a great decision! Expect the shoes to cost around $40-50 for the most part, but know that these are well-made shoes and my guess is you can easily pass them down to a younger sibling. Small local shop packed with choices. We get our little ones shoes here. Am most appreciative of the "old style service" which is what real customer service is and should be.
