My experience at the Jungle Gym of Cayce was needless to say, the best time I've ever had at a Gym. Everyone was was as nice as can be and anytime I needed pointers or tips on an exercise or my form there was no hesitation to ask whoever was working at the time I was working out.
I only went in during the morning hours from 8am to around 10am so I can't comment on availability/selection of the machines as there were only about four people working out and getting their pump on around these times.
The music that you'll be listening to if you forgot your headphones or don't wear them, isn't bad at all. I would say it's current pop hits along with alternate versions of each song, i.e. Gangnam Style, Lady GaGa, Ke$ha, Ellie Goulding, and tons more.
But this is a review of a gym not a club so I'll get back to the gym itself. The equipment there is great, there aren't any machines that I dreaded using due to flaws or malfunctions, however there is one row machine that won't let your go under 90 pounds. There are plenty of free weights and a laundry list of various machines to work what ever muscle your heart desires.
The Shakes. Unfortunately I never got a chance to try out the shakes, but I've heard nothing but good things about them.
I haven'y been in a few months due to some financial issues but what I do remember is the best weight lifting and exercise experience that I have had in a long time.
To wrap up this Review I would have to say, if you love being around nice people, good music, healthy environments, and top notch exercise equipment then this is the Gym for your. And you can't go wrong with 30-50 dollars a month, sure a Place like Planet Fitness costs less but you won't have the many things that Jungle Gym offers that PF doesn't. You won't regret joining and staying for...
Read moreIf you want a small but mighty gym, check out Jungle Gym. My husband and I are powerlifters and decided to check it out a couple of years ago, and have been working out here ever since. The community is really great and welcoming and includes many powerlifters due to having lots of powerlifting specific equipment such as comp racks and kilos. It has an old school feel, but is ever improving and forward thinking. The owner, Kevin, has had the gym for a couple of years and has already added new equipment and done renovations, with more big plans to come. He is always checking on the members and asking their opinion, and really implements requested changes. One thing to note- this is not a Ymca/big box kind of gym but a smaller, more personal gym. If you are interested in powerlifting or lifting in general, this is the...
Read moreAbsolutely phenomenal place to work out. The atmosphere is accurate for an old school gym centered around serious lifting rather than an after-school hang out spot. The owner is cool and available as needed, but otherwise, as long as you use gym etiquette, you shouldn't have any issues. Everyone else in there is working on their own growth, so you have zero issues with people watchers and equipment hogging. Best place that I have found, and I do not plan to stop going anytime...
