Edenwood Plaza Shopping Center — Local services in Cayce

My experience tonight was horrible. The closing cashier 'JAY' was very rude,loud, and VERY VERY Disrespectful. I entered the store at 9:30p.m. I came in with my 3 year old daughter. I proceeded to shop and at 9:43p.m. An announcement went out over the intercom, saying, "The store was closing in 17 minutes, and we can only ring out at self checkout." I grabbed the rest of my items and proceeded to checkout. I get to the self checkout, and I see signs that say " NO WIC OR GIFT CARDS " My cart had a majority of WIC ITEMS. I proceeded over to customer service to one employee, a young man with red hair. I was about to ask him a question. He cut me off abruptly and said, "You got to ring out at self check. I quickly say to him. I just have a question. Can I ask you before you cut me off again.I have a lot of WIC items. Can you please ring me out. JAY says to me interrupting us we close all the draws down at 9:50. I quickly look at my time on my phone. Ma'am it's only 9:47p.m. At this point, it was a minute or so into me asking the question. JAY says rudely to me. I'm here by myself, so I'm not ringing you out. She was not alone. I counted 3 other cashiers there. I said you do not have to be rude. She JAY told me in the rudest nasty way while raising her voice that I was being rude. I asked her where the manager was. I would like to speak with them. She JAY said Im here by myself again, very rude, loud, and Disrespectfully. I told her she was very young and immature, and I would be reaching out to corporate. The customer service was horrible. Among my WIC ITEMS was milk for my 1 year old. This is not acceptable. The store closes at 10p.m. The customer service register should have been the last thing closed out for WIC MOMS like me. This is NOT the food lion I frequent. However, I'd just gotten off work and was picking my 3 year old from her grandparents and ran into that particular store for some items. I WAS BELITTLED IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE YOUNG LADY SO THAT THERE IS NO CONFUSION ON...

Lack product especially Food Lion brand products. Many food lion products are better than the name brand... Oh they stereotype... I heard the heavy set blonde self checkout lady tell the cashier oh look she is here to spend her EBT (Which I don't have) but they have a poor mindset as far as the morning crew is concerned. Not to mention they like to follow you around the store. (Stereotyping) Food Lions are becoming less and less diverse. The produce section fruits and veggies rarely look fresh and not much to pick from. Most of the tomatoes are bruised and soft. I continue shopping at food Lion for the prices and company products but if they don't lose poor mindset I am going to just spend the extra money and gas and go to Publix where the food is always fresh and the staff...

The food has just been terrible lately . Items are frequently overcooked or not made the way they were ordered . When finally presented with your food it looks like it was prepared by someone who absolutely hates their job . I won't be coming back . Hopefully this review saves someone the trouble of...
