Food Lion — Local services in Cayce

Back in December, I bought a Bath and Body Works gift card for my wife's birthday from the rack in this store. While on vacation, we attempted to use it, but it wouldn't activate. I returned it this afternoon, and spoke with Evening Shift Manager Joey Allgara. He personally called the merchant's customer service number for me. Unfortunately, their customer service center referenced a bankruptcy and claimed I was out of luck.(which turned out to be false,) Rather than give up, Mr. Allgara turned to one of his most experienced cashiers for insight into this situation. She willingly went online with HER phone, entered my card numbers, and was able to get an acknowledgement of my balance! Armed with that information, we went to the nearest Bath and Body Works to use the card. While it still wouldn't swipe, the credit came up when their clerk manually input my numbers at checkout. I'm very glad to see that Foid Lion has people willing to go the extra mile for customer...

While my rating has nothing to do with shopping, a customer left a dog unattended in his vehicle for over 20 minutes while my husband waited for someone to come out. I went back in, spoke to a nice associate who called the manager up to speak with me- he wasn't concerned about the dog and even assisted the man out with his groceries. After we told him we called animal control. I will never shop here again because of the carelessness of the manager. An animal should NEVER be left alone inside a car, window cracked or not. I went in for lunch got in the store at 12:05 pm ordered some meat from the dell keep in mind nobody was there but me and the workers it took long enough to even acknowledge that I was there. At 12:18 I still haven't receive my meat yet now I have to get back to work by 12:30. 3 employees in the deli nobody could actually stop talking long enough to focus on the customer at hand and get my order ready in a timely fashion. I use to work in the deli at Walmart it doesn't take that long to cut anything especially sandwhich meat. Very upsetting. The deli worsened to be properly trained on...
