A4L: A Budget-Friendly Option for Quality Appliances and Service
I recently visited Appliances 4 Less Austin after purchasing an older home. I spent most of my money fixing up the house so my budget for appliances is limited. I'm so happy that I found what I needed within my budget at A4L. I highly recommend this store for anyone shopping on a budget and don't want to suffer quality.
What I Loved:
Affordable Prices: The biggest draw is, of course, the discounts. Many items were priced significantly lower than big-box retailers, even with the crazy Black Friday sales going on. The reason for the low price is mostly because those appliances are open box items. Some of the items may have minor cosmetic damages such as a dent. The store run tests on them to make sure they are fully functional. Those appliances are under the manufacturer warranty, and I believe A4L also offers warranty.
Knowledgeable Staff: The sales associates were friendly, helpful and well-informed about the products. Michael, the store owner, helped me evaluate the pros and cons of each options and we decided on the refrigerator, washer and the dryer that are not only beautiful but also functional for my family's needs.
Fast Delivery: The store offered delivery, which was a huge plus for me.
What to consider:
Cosmetic Flaws: like I mentioned earlier, some of the discounted items had minor scratches or dents. While these didnāt impact functionality, itās something to consider if aesthetics are important.
Variety of brands: while there is a decent selection of good brands such as LE and Samsung, you may not have as large of selection as those big box retailers.
Verdict:

After several searches and looking at reviews, I came across and spoke with Michael briefly over the phone. Everything else was handled through email and text message. He even set me up with OāNeill, which I cannot speak highly enough about. Not only did he come in he noticed a hose to the washer wasnāt properly connected and needed a washer. He took care of that. He completely wiped off the washer, cleaned off the powder soap and educated the whole family I have powdered soap can damage the appliances, and it should be diluted before using if youāre gonna use it. This had nothing to do with the install of the dryer. It just goes to show the type of work ethic and pride that he took in treating my son is home like his own. After the install, he met with my son and his wife, because I was surprising him with it all day at work, and he explained how not only the dryer worked, but how it worked in companion to the washer and exactly how he used it at home for the best efficiency in getting the laundry done, but also saving energy. Iāve had mixed experiences at Appliance House Outlet, but the only standout employee is Regan, who is professional, helpful, and actually follows through. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the woman who claims to be the manager.
My dealings with her have been frustrating, to say the least: yelling at customers, changing prices after quoting them, refusing to work with return customers, lying about inventory availability over the phone, and never calling back as promised.This kind of behavior is unacceptable and drives business away.
