At this location there was an employee (about 5'7½, woman, straight hair at neck length,glasses worn on her head so I'd guess readers) who displayed irritation when it came to anything I needed assistance with. Im not sure if she always makes disgruntled faces when customers have questions at separate times throughout their shopping experience, if she stares away and leaves them unassisted as they wait on clarity, and if she usually watches them ignorant of a process at self checkout or if its just how she shows up to provide customer service regularly, however, that is exactly what my experience with her was. Other than her, there were three younger appearing people that did make the efforts to help and honestly if they didnt help I wouldn't have been able to make the purchase and honestly I truly do appreciate them. They did not just stare off as if I and another employee were not standing there waiting each time for them to respond. One guy came from further in the store to assist yet she stood at in the checkout area looking away once the question was asked. I just wanted to get my niece two items that literally go together. I knew what I wanted when I came in my shopping experience should've taken 3½mins from the door to checkout. The most mind boggling part of it all is, it appeared as though the lady was who's been chosen as representation of leadership as I witnessed her instruct another employee and another look to her for answers. Read moreWent there today with my daughter looking for fabric, they don't carry fabric in bolts which is fine. The only reason I decided to buy anything is because my daughter took interest in a bouncy ball. So I grabbed a few sewing machine needles and the ball. We go to check out and the cashier rings us up and my total comes out to $15.99, I a $20 bill on the counter under the plastic barrier and she looks at it, huff's and tells me she can't break that. I say with question in my voice, the total is $16 and thats a 20, she Huff's again and says I know but we prefer cards because it's less germs. I gently say then you should put a sign up indicating that. Mind you, she is wearing a mask as we all are and she is wearing gloves. This girl is maybe in her 20s if even that. I don't know if she has any medical conditions that puts her at a higher risk for catching covid but her attitude was uncalled for. I tell her I can pay with card it's fine but she Huff's again grabs the 20 and says it's fine I already touched it. She throws my change and my purchase on the counter and tells me to put my basket in the corner so they can sterilize it which has become a common practice, the basket sterilizing that is. Needless to say I have never been into a Michael's craft store before but people tell all the time they are great. Well, I'm disappointed, and will never go back. Read moreI just returned hone from picking up a curbside delivery at the Lakeline Michaels. I called the number posted to let them know I was there to pick up my order. I was asked to wait. I was on hold for over 7 minutes. I hung up and called back. My second call was answered, “Hold, please.” After being on hold for 3-4 minutes, an associate picked up my call and said , “Last name.” When I stated that she needed to work on her customer service skills, she proceeded to tell me they were very busy. After giving her my name and order number, I told her that asking for someone’s last name was no way to answer the phone. The associate then told me they were in a difficult situation. I replied, “You can still say “hello” when you answer the phone.
I would not have felt the need to write this terrible review if the associate had said, “Thank you for holding” when she answered the phone. She did not need to tell me how busy they are. She just needed to apologize for my long wait.
In the 10+ minutes I was parked directly in front of the store, I saw several customers enter and leave the store. I did not see an associate deliver a curbside order before I received mine.
