It finally happened! Ramen Tatsu-Ya up north in the burbs, Lakeline meets Cedar park and my foodie self from my younger 20's living in the arboretum/domain is thrilled. I have eaten at Tatsu-Ya numerous times since its inception days of stomping its way into Austin bringing into the foodie world, the obsession of what is their tonkatsu broth, yum. Heavy, rich, divine and extra sodium heavy like ramen does, it's just as tasty as I remembered. The interior in this one is the same vibe and style as the OG off Payton gin, very kitschy, artsy and super beautiful with the natural lighting. Service is just the same, a line awaits you, you get a number, and then once you order, the staff will seat you at an appropriate opening. The perk, the communal table is much smaller and there are smaller tables for small parties! No bar seating here boo like the OG, but that's ok! I ordered the #9 Curry Nu Skool which is vegetarian broth and added an extra ajitama, yum! Missing their dipping ramen on the menu which I didn't see, but all the sides = yum. The outside space has heaters for a chilly day, and it's perfect with your hot piping ramen! Welcome Tatsu-Ya and can't wait to dine here again and again! Slurps up!

This ramen place was over-hyped for us. Everyone had really positive things to say about it. We liked the ramen, but still preferred the ramen at Misaki ramen in Round Rock. On the bright side, this was was a little cheaper. Misaki ramen has bulgogi ramen and veggie ramen we like a lot. Ramen tatsuya was a little loud and we had to sit a little crowded in the central table. We could hear the date going on next to us, which was entertaining but I don't want to hear that so well! We both got OG ramen and he gave me his egg cause I like them and he doesn't. I gave him half my pork piece because it was on the fatty side. He said his was not as fatty. It was tender and tasty, though! I had the corn bomb for some fiber and it was delicious.

Good experience during a slow time around 3pm - food was hot, fast, and tasty! šŸœStaff was kind and helpful navigating the menu. Inside / outside seating was clean and well stocked. šŸ„ Ramen is a large portion and cohesive + added the ā€œfire in a bowlā€ bomb and the garlic (came with a press). šŸ§„The vegan ramen was surprising with the almond milk base but still savory and the tofu was lil sweet too. The curry flavor was good in #9 but I think I’d like to keep it for Indian food instead of Japanese style. šŸœ Make it your way kind of style which I enjoyed. Yoda Brussel sprouts were so crispy and well balanced flavor. šŸµ Cold brew green tea has that good flavor you want. Would totally visit again with friends - nothing wrong with my visit (5āļø)

Ahh man, hell yeah. They're good. I eat here multiple times a month with zero regret. The noodles are always cooked just right for slurping, amazing flavors, and great staff. Saying that, the flavors can be strong so be prepared, these are not wimpy flavor profiles, but they're well balanced and nothing becomes super overwhelming in any of the bowls. They obviously take pride in their dishes, they'll fix anything they get wrong, and the ramen is always satisfying. My two personal favorites are the Sho-yu with the yuzu bomb and marinated tofu or the now recently re-added (happy to have it back!) Tsukemen dipping ramen. Don't get me wrong, I love the OG, but the extra umami that the Sho-yu and Tsukemen give me, just edges them a touch higher for me. If it's your first time though I strongly recommend the OG with the corn bomb or the Ol' Skool as is, which is chicken broth ramen (and makes for a great cold remedy!).

Also, if you manage to eat a whole bowl and somehow still have room for a bit of something, they've brought in dipdipdip ice cream for a burnt orange or matcha ice cream sandwich. My personal preference is the burnt orange as it's got a nice almost chocolate covered orange flavor, the matcha one though is the favorite of everyone else I've brought here. I can't recommend coming here enough. It's delicious, filling, relaxed, and falls squarely in the best of "keep austin...

You should try to call an order in for pick up. Wait they don’t do that. They will pick up the phone and talk to you for 5 minutes in the absolute dead of the afternoon. Try to order food however and you will be told it is against their policy and all orders have to be made in person or on their app. The app that then makes you down load 2 more apps to complete the process. 30 minutes later I still had no food and had to drive in to get my sick kid some soup because she has Covid and feels crummy. I asked to talk to a manager and was told there was not a manager working. I was finally able after 3 minutes of waiting to find out Randy was not working and could not be reached by message . This is clearly a moronic business model made up by children that look down on older people because they still wish to do things by voice. When I told the girl what was wrong about the whole situation she told me it was not her choice and she gets yelled at several times a week about this ā€œpolicy.ā€ Well kids maybe you should change your policy and get away from the ā€œget with the timesā€ mentality that I was greeres with when I did have to walk in to order. I don’t think Randy or the General Manager Teresa Molina have ever worked in the service industry where you don’t get paid if you...

Went there for dinner Friday with my family and friends. We ordered several different items: The Og, the Shoyu Tonkatsu, the gyoza, the kaarage, and the korokaay. We also ordered the side of garlic, the spicy bomb, and the corn bomb. I also ended up ordering an extra side of chashu after learning the ramen only came with one piece. Food came out relatively fast. The kaarage was a very small amount for the price, the gyoza were decently cooked and flavorful, and the korokaay was a bit overcooked and heavily breaded. Then our ramen and "bombs" came out, which they mixed up one of our orders. We were surprised we had to press our own garlic. Now to preface: for someone who has never eaten "legit" ramen, at first taste and glance this ramen would be quite good, delicious even. For our group, who have eaten excellent authentic ramen, it was a bit of a disappointment. The broth was flavorful but that's honestly its only highlight. The chashu was a bit dry, and again you only got one piece. The noodles were not typical ramen noodles, which are a bit wavy and thick. These were straight very thin noodles, which did not have a great mouth feel. We had honestly been looking forward to having a new ramen place near us to frequent, but we will probably not be...
