Neuse Sport Shop — Local services in Cedar Point

I have been a customer and fan of Neuse Sport Shop for over a decade! When I heard they were opening another store in Cedar Point closer to my home I couldn’t wait! But today about 3:30pm on a Saturday afternoon, I was really disappointed ☹️ with my shopping experience. As I shopped in the shoe department for 20 min or so I saw 3 employees. None of them acknowledged me and the last one actually convinced me to put down all three pairs of shoes I was interested in purchasing and leave the store! The first two employees were so engrossed in their conversation about someone else they work with and what the other should do upon his next scheduled shift, I guess they didn’t notice I was there wanting to try on two pair of Sperry’s. The 3rd employee walked over to the shoe department from the women’s apparel department and let a gentle who’d just arrived in the shoe department know that she could assist him if he’d come over and let her know if he needed anything and then walked away. She was the 3rd and final employee to not acknowledge my existence in the shoe department as I had 2 boxes of shoes ready to go and one shoe on my foot wishing someone would go in the back room to get me it’s mate! As I was leaving the store my husband met me at the entrance and said he was coming in to purchase a pair of sunglasses. After hearing about my experience he decided to leave with me and purchase a pair elsewhere. I wouldn’t leave any stars ⭐️ for this rating, but I am forced to in order to leave this review. My hope is that my comments will catch the managements attention and customer service at one of my favorite stores will improve so I can leave a better...

Should be zero stars. Been here a couple times and the service is always the same. Called to see if they had ammo for my gun in stock and after being transferred 3 times get told the had 3 boxes in stock. Great go there 5 mins down the rd and Right off the bat some lady at the door forcing people to have mask on. Ok can deal with it for a few mins no biggie. Get to the back where the ammo and guns are and get ignored like normal here, 4 times and bought a gun else where, and after 15 mins of waiting and these 2 guys wasting my time to show guns(not sale just showing) they ask me what I want. I tell them I called 15 mins ago and someone said you had the ammo I need. He goes to this spot with 2 boxes of another ammo there 3 times and says we just sold it. I told him how did you sell it in less than 20 mins and was told they sold a gun and the guy bought all they had left. So he is telling me he sold a gun in less than 20 mins and the exact ammo I just called for in the 5 min drive time. Because I was standing there for the other 15 mins and no one sold a thing. So I will not be returning to a store of lazy, liars who are just there for a pay check and have zero customer...

I made a pistol purchase on Dec 23, 2020 from Neuse Sport Shop of Cedar Point NC. During the process the gentlemen I was working with grabbed the wrong pistol, luckily I caught it on the paperwork and then I specified what pistol I actually wanted from the display case. Completed the paperwork and took my new pistol home only to realize he grabbed the wrong pistol a yet again, I didn’t catch it on the paper with this go round and at no point did he even offer to let me see or handle the firearm. At home after discovering the screw up I immediately called and spoke to the employee to try and get the matter resolved. He informed me “Brian” wouldn’t be in until the next day (Christmas Eve) so I waited. The next day while I was a few hours away visiting family for Christmas Brian called and said that Chris Hazelton would only make the issue right if I could get back that same day due to some BS compliance issue. I rushed back home to Cedar Point only to find that the store had closed early for the holiday even though it wasn’t declared on the website.
