I don't ever write reviews. However, my experience at this buffet was such an awful one, that I find a need to do so. If this review can prevent one single person from eating at this buffet, than it will have been well worth my time. My wife and I love to dine out at various restaurants throughout the year (about 50 or so a year). Sometimes it is great, sometimes it is all right, sometimes it is acceptable, and other times it is mediocre. This restaurant however, was so absolutely unpleasant, that my wife stopped eating after starting her first plate. The hibachi was terrible. They prepped my food and returned it with raw shrimp. The food seemed like it was hours old. Some selections were warm while others were not. I saw a worker come with a fresh batch of food (much to my excitement) but then she put it with the old batch and mixed it all together. This buffet is $9.99 per person. If it was free, I would not eat here again. If they paid me $9.99 to eat here, I still would not do so. I honestly would rather have 2 Maruchan than eat anything at this establishment. There are many other options within walking distance. If you are really hungry just walk elsewhere. I guarantee you, I will never again step foot in this establishment. Nobody was rude, the service was acceptable, but, and I cannot stress this enough, the food was absolutely deplorable. Do not eat at this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAwful. To start, avoid dinner at all costs. What food that was actually left was old, stone hard and some items were just inedible. The sushi was hard like it had been sitting out all day (on little trays, no ice to keep it fresh). The grill: In every life experience that I have had with beef I can confidently say that what they call beef is greasy, gray and off colored and is not in any way real beef. Beef is NOT supposed to be gray after cooking it! You cannot even trick your brain into thinking that you are eating beef because of the spongy, greasy, fatty consistency and the taste isn't anywhere near. The meat also had little flies around it. The grill lo-mein noodles were not refilled and were hard and stale and not pleasant. The sweet rolls on the buffet which my daughter had were basically hard rocks. There is so much dust on the surfaces that were around us that it made it that much worse to eat our dinner and see that. Also, I always look forward to wonton or clear soup, there was none. While it was a disappointment, it was not on my list of big issues. If you are passing through Atlanta and are not familiar with the area restaurants, I strongly advise against eating here. It should be the last resort in my opinion because fast food would have been a comparably better food selection...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI was dragged in here by a fellow vegan who swore this was the one place they could get vegan mai fun. They were right about the mai fun dish being vegan (once we tasted it and we both had a reaction to something in it which I can bet was just cross contamination ) This is definitely not a place I would revisit. First big reason for me which I don't count against them in my rating is the lack of vegan options. Posibly 9-10 options including the fruit.
The food was either salty or tasteless. The spring rolls were stale and fried plantains were old. The selection of food was mixed with mexican quesadillas and tacos and a few other mexican-ish dishes.
The atmosphere is interesting. Being that this buffet is located in a mexican shopping mall it makes some sence. The fusion is quite noticable as you walk in to Mexican cantina music and papel picado decor. ( Later music changed to a happier beat with some norteƱas š )
Moderately priced. We stopped by around 4 pm and it was pretty quiet. The staff was somewhat helpful when asking about ingredients.
Basically not your typical...
