Review written 12/28/2024. This is a unique and interesting part of Champaign with several shops along with a few places to eat.
Pros: -Panera bread with drive thru including order ahead for drive thru pickup -beautiful light display during Christmas time -drive up USPS blue mailboxes (they used to be towards the Mattis side but they were moved due to the Parlor Doughnuts shop opening) -fed ex drop off box -UPS store very convenient for quick Amazon returns -papa Murphy’s pizza with order ahead available -many other interesting shops and food places -I am very watchful of my safety in many places of Champaign Urbana but I have always felt safe chilling in my car here at the Old Farm Shops, it is inviting and nice place to sit in your car and catch up on emails or watch a show while eating etc -they have crews that come in the early morning and pick up any litter from around the lot, so it’s kept nice and clean
Cons: -driving situation can be dangerous to drive or walk through the lot during crowded times as it’s a pretty tight lot and some people speed through it -driving situation can be dangerous turning in from Kirby Ave if people are backing out of parking spots at Panera, sometimes cars almost get rear ended just trying to turn into the lot due to not much space in the entrance area -idk if it’s just my phone but I often have weak phone signal and cellular data signal in this area which can be a problem if trying to pull up QR codes for Amazon returns at UPS store so I recommend pulling them up ahead of time and taking screenshots to have ready if making...
Read moreSo many great shops at this classy and cheery strip mall - our favorite is TCBY frozen yogurt, where we go weekly after winning free yogurt for a year (keep your eyes out for this annual August event for the first 50 customers!), but we also come for Sports Clips for my sons' walk-in haircuts. Subway sandwiches, Papa Murphy's take and bake pizzas, and Super Wok always tempt us. I love when I have time to pop in Checkered Moon with its unique selection of gifts that always make me laugh out loud with their witty sayings or cuteness- for wine-drinkers, parents, over-eaters. Vilardo's carries Poo-Pourri and a great selection of charm bracelets. Panera Bread is a great place for lunch, dinner, coffee or a yummy chocolate croissant to go. I've also appreciated the UPS Store, good ole' fashioned mailboxes, jewelry repair and sales at M.J. Reed and now see there's an Alterations by Azar that I might try. Modern Nails looked busy, and I have also picked up things at Walgreen's. While I haven't been to this Glenn Poor's store, I know they are reputable for repairing TVs, etc. I haven't had need to go to Jos. Bank yet for men's fine clothing. The white-washed walls and red roof just make me smile and walk a little taller...

It's a nice place just to kind of walk around and burn some food off. It's kind of tucked away but still on the main drag good parking available and a nice little amount of stores...
