I have an 82" Mitsubishi DLP tv that had been having issues with the color wheel (based on my internet research) before it finally stopped working altogether. I went to Radio Doctors, and the owner was completely knowledgeable about the issue and resolution process (including making sure I knew exactly what replacement color wheel to order for my specific tv since I wanted to order my own and save money-$200 retail vs the $38 one I ordered on my own!). The repair requires removing some inner components of the tv to get to and replace the color wheel. I wasn't comfortable doing this myself, and I didn't want to go through the process of moving the 82" tv to\from the shop for the repair to be done in the store. The owner and his business trainee were gracious enough to arrange coming to my place to remove the inner components to then take that part back to their store for me to order and bring the color wheel to them for them to install in the store and then come back out to my place to install everything back in the tv. The price for all this was more than fair (based on my internet research for edtimates of similar repairs) AND WAY LESS EXPENSIVE than another local shop who advertises in-home service but wasn't willing to service my tv in my home and gave me an estimate that was much higher than Radio Doctors with me being on my own to get the 82" tv to\from the other shop! Lastly, the tv still initially had some issues "accepting" the new color wheel (tv worked but had to be reset each time I turned it on). The owner was genuinely concerned and told me to contact them if it continued to have issues so they could troubleshoot and ensure the repair I paid for actually worked completely right. I waited a few days of resetting it each time, and now the tv has fully adjusted to the new color wheel and is working perfectly without having to do the reset....

When I went in at the 8 week mark, he didnāt even know where the device I dropped off was, and we both had to go digging around his messy store to find it. Once we did, he told me he STILL hadnāt started it and asked me give him 2 hours and he would call me, never got a call) I finally came in today on my own accord, no communication from him(3 MONTHS after drop off) and he tried to charge me another $35 but wouldnāt disclose why. When politely questioned, he raised his voice at me, cursing and claiming it was my job to ākeep on himā about fixing it and āif you wanted it fixed faster, you shouldāve kept calling meā. Insane right?? My player is fixed but it took 3 months, getting yelled at, reaching out to him 3 times, both of us having to FIND IT IN HIS STORE, and supposedly $75, AND my player was superficially damaged on the from being stacked on in the 3 months it was at his store. I normally would NEVER write bad review, I hate bashing anyone online, especially small business owners, but this was actually unbelievable. I proceeded to another place where I was told that it would be too expensive to repair and that I should buy a new one for $700. Then I went to another store where they said that they only repair merchandise that is purchased there.
