Absolutely outstanding. Super surprised at Mr. Crab's diversity. They are famous for Chinese, Chinese American and Cajun. Sheli doesn't like spicey food and can't eat onions or peppers. I like it all. Mr. Crab satisfied both of our needs. I had Cajun shrimp, king crab leg with corn on the cob & a potato all steamed together in a tremendous Cajun sauce (3 of 4 peppers heat rating). Sheli had steamed shrimp and bay scallops with corn and a potato in a mild garlic butter sauce. The service was great, the restaurant was clean, our meals were on the table fast. Great owner and staff. Keep up the great work. I would drive 100 miles out of my way to dine here. Photos attached are the very attentive owner and I will try to attach our meal photos as soon as I find them.

We ate at the Mr. Crab half of the restaurant and it is the best, freshest seafood in Illinois. Great service and amazing food. Must try

The service is awful, the dishes we ordered were not served until they were completely cold. This is all what we have after one hour

They served me rotten meat. I repeat they served me rotten meat. I have eaten at this place numerous times and almost always had a pleasant experience. Until this evening. I ordered several dishes to go and opened my food at home. My family was eating just fine until we encountered a rotten chicken wing. This was severely disturbing because any time there is rotten meat served at a restaurant it means there is poor hygiene and poor quality control. If this cardinal restaurant rule is broken it means that their systems are not in order. So, I packed up all of the food from the dinner table and drove back to the restaurant. I politely went inside to inform the owner that I had a problem and that I could not eat the meal and I wanted a full refund. I unpacked the food and showed the offending meat and asked them to smell it. They then proceeded to accuse me of lying and threatened to call the police on me. What? They threatened to call the police on me. I repeat, they threatened to call the police on me. I told them go ahead. Do it. Please. Call the police on me for serving me rotten meat and asking for my money back. After this, they proceeded to yell at me in Chinese and called me names. This is after I had patronized their restaurant numerous times and brought my family to eat there to the tune of several hundred dollars over time. They threatened to call the police and have me locked up because they did not want to refund $36.00. Who does this?!!!! What should have ended as a polite exchange became a tense shouting match with them calling me every bad curse word in Chinese in front of Chinese customers in their restaurant. I did not leave until they finally refunded my money while shouting that I would wait until the police arrived. I will never eat there ever again. I advise anyone one who wants to protect their health, do not order food from these people. Clearly, they cut corners, they are unconscionably rude and dishonorable people. They want to protect their money rather than people's health. They could have easily owned their mistake and honored my request. Refunded my meal and apologized. I probably would have returned. People are allowed to make mistakes. BUT, to threaten me with the arm of the law? No. Never eat there. Eat at your own peril. I repeat, they serve rotten meat and don't...

This is now my son's favorite restaurant (which makes my wallet cringe) but it is very good, so I do not blame him. We've been twice now, and have gotten crab both times. I had a side of sausage and that was good, too. I didn't realize the sausage came sauced, but I just pushed the sauce off and gobbled it up. We are used to the low country boils from the southeast coast of the country so having a thick sauced "boil" was new for us. Though different, it was still very good. I have not tried all of the flavors, but had the Cajun last time and I even sopped up the extra with my fries, it was so good. The personnel have been very friendly from what we have experienced. Going forward, this is a regular stop whenever we can spring for market...
