Dollar General — Local services in Chapmanville

So I called yesterday to ask if they was hiring. The person on the phone who identified as the hiring manager informed me that in fact they were hiring. I then proceeded to ask to verify if they had my application on the file I was told yes & they they was able to pull it up.

When I called the very next day I get told that they couldn't find a application & that was because there wasn't one. So I asked are they hiring right now. I was told YES & HUNGUP ON!

So I put another application in. I called back to make sure they got it. & yet I get lied to a 3ed time! As I was told there not hiring!

My family & I will never shop here again with terrible customer service, the hanging up on. People, they lie to people, & with how they handled the conversation with being overly sarcastic. I don't understand why a store like this would hire a lot alone.Keep and promote people like this.It really makes their store look bad. As a ex business owner myself. I give this store 5 stars because the employees are very helpful and nice. I've seen where people have talked about the pallets with all the items in the isles being tripping hazzards etc. Well, you need to look to management for that. The employees need to be at the registers or stocking, but they can't do Both at One Time. Plus, have you even thought about bathroom breaks?! There's so Much to be concerned with, when rating a store or a person. They need extra people to come in and help Especially on the days when the trucks arive. Any sensable person should be able to figure that out, so the owners need to Step Up Their Game! I feel so much for the Workers there. btw, I'm not in the least kin to Any of Them, so don't even go there. As far as the store goes, I get some pretty darn good prices there. I seriously hope and pray that the Owner reads these...

I highly suggest avoiding this store, this store is very poorly kept and managed. The store advertises being open till 10 P.M. but very often closes 20-30 minutes early and when asked why the only response is a shoulder shrug. The store is always very messy and unkept. Having to squeeze around the pallets of items in the middle of the already tiny isles is just unacceptable. The most displeasing of it all is the terribly unpleasant manager, I've often had the unfortunate pleasure of having to deal with her several times. She is very rude and unprofessional, often on her cellphone and not even talking to customers. When asked questions she acts as if a great burden was being bestowed apon her.
