First of all, I would likely be giving this restaurant a higher review had it not been for my interaction with the waiter as I was leaving the establishment.
So, as a party of 6, we came here for dinner tonight. Food was okay. Service was okay, with one personās food coming out much later than everyone elseās. The waiter didnāt seem to care much about how to place the plates out onto the table, especially plates around a toddler. Just cared about getting them out and didnāt try to clear empty stuff out of the way beforehand. The tab was paid by one person in the party, and we all had thought that the person included the tip when paying the bill. Well, as I walk out from using the restroom after everyone else had gone out to their cars, the waiter with Elton John sunglasses and a ponytail stops me at the door and says, āSo, you all, even with one guy dressed as Santa, came in to eat and didnāt tip? Thatās messed up.ā For one, why does he assume he should have gotten one in the first place? Tipping is NOT required and while itās generally expected now (obviously from the way this waiter was acting), you shouldnāt be stopping a customer at the door to say itās messed up that the person paying didnāt tip. When I went back out to the car to tell the people I drove with that they didnāt get a tip, they didnāt know either and we were actually going to go back in to tip. It really was just a miscommunication that there was no tip left. We ALWAYS tip. But, I said no. If someone is going to be that rude and unprofessional about a missed tip, weāre not going back to give him one. Hereās a tip for him (a few, actually) : If someone doesnāt tip, donāt always assume itās because you deserve one in the first place. If you donāt get a tip, donāt just assume itās because a customer was choosing not to. Finally, donāt stop a customer at a door and berate them for not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe BEST restaurant in Chapmanville, WV. Amazing service, amazing food, and very a lively and peaceful atmosphere. Minas has a dish for just about any picky eater and their menu is a great way to explore new options (they even have meals that my younger siblings enjoy, which allows all of my family to eat at the same placeā which doesnāt seem like a big deal but definitely is important). My favorite thing about Minas is how wonderful the staff is! I have yet to encounter a bad waitress or waiter when dining in. Theyāre very sociable and kind, and attentive if you have any issues or need anything at all. I would also like to mention how affordable Minas is. When I go there for Lunch, I can get a full plate for just $14, which is phenomenal compared to whatās around the area (very overpriced fast food). However, they also have other options if you want to treat yourself to a nice drink or a big meal with friends. Thereās something for everybody, no matter what you get youāre gonna need a takeout box (itās just that good). 10/10āMinas...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis establishment is absolutely amazing!! I went there with my family recently for a birthday party, and let me tell you, the staff were perfect. Everyone was so nice! They even gave my friend a sombrero to wear as a little gift while we ate! And the food? To die for. I couldnāt get enough of it! Even the appetizers were great! I ordered a jumbo burrito I believe itās called, and it was one of the best things I ever had! Itās such a clean place too. I saw workers cleaning and making sure everything was spotless, they definitely take pride in it, and it makes the experience so much better knowing that everything is sanitary. The speed was spectacular too! Even with how many people there was. The workers managed to stay on top of it and get us our food as quick as they could, very nice! Me and my family will for sure be coming back here for future outings. Thank you for giving my friend such a...
