This is the rudest "customer service" at the front desk that I have ever experienced. I have filled out THREE sets of referrals along with my sons' teachers and therapist and each time they state they are not complete! After waiting for some kind of follow up from someone in the office, which never came, I decided to call them and ask what the holdup was for scheduling an appointment for my autistic son. When someone answered the phone, all that was said was "Can I help you?" I had to ask if this was Developmental & Behavioral Peds of the Carolinas. After giving my sons information, she stated again, that the paperwork wasn't completed. I proceeded to become upset, and she starts to laugh and snicker which in return infuriated me. If she really knew the job, she would have compassion for the parents that have to come to that office since she has firsthand experiences with what they go through from her job. My son is 10 and I have been dealing with doctors since he was two years old, so I am well aware and use to health care providers and their offices and have never had an issue like this. The front desk and the people who answer the phones are the first point of contact when you call or come to the office and the employees, they have been the reason they have some bad reviews along with no one following up. If they have a question, they want to send communication through the atrium app. Why not pick up the phone and call? I have been dealing with the referrals for over a year now and there is always an excuse because we have to start over...
Read moreI absolutely love the Charlotte office on 7th avenue! We especially love doctor mittal as she has always taken care of my son since he was about 3 and he is now nearly 9. Today we had to see Mrs Monique instead of dr mittal and I must say the best experience I’ve ever had with a substitute doctor EVER!! Mrs Monique was not only professional with me but so kind and caring with my little guy as well. She took the time to actually get down on his level to do his assessment and also to just talk to him about school and his best friend and also how he thought things were going. Even tho we have to do a med change which can be scary I am sure with Mrs Monique’s help and guidance we will get threw it with no problem. She even typed up a letter to me to outline how to do the meds switch and how to administer the new medication. This is especially helpful because my little guy is not mine and my husbands only child that I try to keep up with their schedules. I know all you mommas out there can relate lol. But 10/10 would definitely recommend. While we still look forward to seeing dr mittal again when things slow down for her we would also be alright if we were to start seeing Mrs Monique from now on as well that’s how good the appointment went. Thank you so much developmental pediatrics of the Carolina’s! Not only for taking care of my son but also for making me feel at ease with the changes and also making sure the directions were spelled out...
Read moreI will be filing a complaint with the state - access to care. I love when people don’t know who I actually work for lol it tickles me so much! The referral coordinator just literally hung up in my face after I’ve stressed to her how hard it’s been to connect or with them and get an appointment. She literally lied and said she called one of my NEW NUMBERS that I just put on file and said I hung up. I would’ve NEVER hung up on their phone call because we’ve have been waiting so long to get an appointment. Even if I couldn’t be reached via phone they did not reach out to me via atrium health app. She acted very careless and with attitude. It’s not my fault that you’re working for a company like atrium, i used to work for atrium back in the day so i get it. My child has autism and has been waiting for an appointment since 2022. These people don’t communicate with you or follow up on anything. They do BARE MINIMUM. They don’t keep up with their records we have been asked several times to complete the CHADIS packet. This packet has been completed so many times by her school and I. They have all documents that they need and still not...
