Lidl — Local services in Charlotte

Just got back from here with some groceries. I always check my receipt before leaving the store. I noticed I was charged for sweet potatoes instead of the regular white, russet potatoes that I purchased. I told the cashier about it and she was argumentative saying that they were sweet potatoes. I told her they were the regular white, russet potatoes. I wasn't even sure if there was any price difference, but I thought it should be corrected. When a manager came he was quick to correct it. I was initially overcharged because the white potatoes were less expensive than the sweet potatoes. I got over a dollar refunded to me. Lidl was different than I expected. There were a lot of neat imported foods, wines, etc. General grocery items are limited. For instance, I need some extracts for baking and only vanilla was available. No canola oil unless you wanted a small bottle of cold pressed oil that was much more expensive. But they had a great selection of olive and other oils. Good prices, too. I didn't realize you had to purchase your bags or (bring your own I guees).The checkout person wasn't very good at informing me of this until I asked her about bagging my groceries that were lying there at the register. Sheepishly I got my bag for $.95 and got my items together. I had informed her this was my 1st visit to a Lidl's. Oh well. I am giving it two stars because I know for sure they do not care about the product they are selling. I have been going here a few months and I’m not going anymore. They never have chicken anymore stacked on shelves, barely meats. One incident a month ago I picked up a pack of bread it was torn like a mouse got in it and I didn’t realize til I got to the register I said I don’t want it and she asked if I want to get another I said no. You could tell a rodent got in it. I thought maybe they got a bad batch delivered. I came a few more times it was ok but yesterday I bought a bag of apples. When I got home I seen some were rotting.
