Proactive Chiropractic and Rehab Center - Charlotte Chiropractor — Local services in Charlotte

For context: I am a new patient -- this was my first visit. I came to this office because I am in pain and needed an appointment as soon as possible. There were multiple factors that contributed to my 1* rating, but the main reasons are as follows: The massage beds and other facilities were not sanitized between patients. After performing a standard chiropractic routine, the doctor told me that he wanted me to come back tomorrow to discuss the results of my examination. The examination consisted of turning my head to the right, the left, and up and down and observing my range of motion. I know a scam when I see one. The exam had no aspects which would require consideration (such as an x-ray). The doctor knew my results but was intentionally vague about my diagnosis while I was speaking to him.

I am aware that these issues take time to fix but I don't feel that the doctor addressed my specific issue in the office. The treatment felt generic. I also think it is unacceptable to request that someone come in for a follow-up appointment the very next day just to discuss examination results, a conversation that could and should have been had immediately after the exam. I don't know who can take ~2-3 hours off of work two days in a row, but I certainty can't.

Edit to add that I was watching, literally sitting in the row of chairs to wait my turn for a massage bed -- the massage beds are definitely not sanitized...

This was a really over priced service in my opinion. This is your typical “ambulance chasing” clinic. I was told that the first visit was $89 being more expensive due to the X-ray they take and the longer consult time. I was told that the first visit was the most expensive visit. So how on earth did I end up with a bill from them of over $850.00 for just ((4)) visits??? The only thing they did to me on each subsequent visit was 10 mins of Stim (tens unit) and then a two minute adjustment. This would mean they charged me around $112.00 per visit and this is waaaaay more than I was quoted. I’ve worked for two different chiropractors in the past and been patient of three. None of them charged this much for visit, ever.

Not only did I feel I was grossly overcharged, but I was also given the one size fits all rack and crack kind of treatment, no soft tissue work whatsoever! Anyone with any knowledge of how the body works knows that you can not successfully manipulate bone/structural issues without loosening or manipulation of the soft tissue surrounding the bones ie fascia and muscle.

Bottom line, there are way better places out there, and they won’t rip you off and make you feel like you’re just...

I had not been to see my PCP because I figured they would just prescribe medications so I Googled local chiropractors. Proactive Chiropractic and Rehab Center was the first result. I looked at the excellent ratings and figured I would give them a try. I went to the website and filled out the contact us and in as little as 10 minutes someone called to get me scheduled for an appointment. This was my first time seeing a chiropractor and the office staff were so kind and welcoming. I saw Dr. Alec, explained the pain I was feeling, and he immediately he knew my issue and started treating me. When I tell you after the first visit I felt 70% better in my lower back and overall!!!! Dr. Alec was very kind, professional, efficient, and effective!!!! Scheduling appointments were hassle-free and there were a couple of instances I arrived early for my appointment and I was seen almost immediately.
