Wang & King Asian Cafe — Restaurant in Charlotte

I’m stuck at a hotel all week and a hurricane is rolling through so thought I’d set myself up for a few meals through uber eats. I ordered L26 Asian Spicy Shrimp, chicken pad Thai noodles, chicken lo mein, and L13 general Tsos chicken. I devoured the lo mein straight away. It was delicious! I knew I didn’t want to reheat the spicy shrimp so I polished them off and saved the vegs and rice for later. Shrimp were huge and were nice and spicy. I ate the pad Thai for dinner and it might be my favorite of all the meals. Eating the general Tsos now for lunch and it has a nice kick to it. Everything was very tasty and lots of food provided in each dish. The fried rice is different than what I’m used to in Chicago but it’s good. I definitely preferred the noodle dishes over the rice ones but that’s a me thing - I love noodles. I went to wang and Kang on a pick up for Uber eats. I always love the rice noodle with extra cabbage 😋 so while picking up the order I orderines and paid for it knowing I'll be right back in time for order to be complete Well it didn't quite work out like that. I had a flat tire in theiddle of delivery. I called to the restaurant and explained to her what was wrong and asked if I could pick up my food yhe next day her reply was yes. Ok but it gets better I didn't go pick it up bc my son had come home from the Navy. I counted as a lost. Fwd to today I want rice noodles so I go in with money list and I am cool with it I could get thru the door fast enough before I was greeted with you come get your noodles I was like yes you still have them she said no we make your fresh one. This place use to be very good few years back, but I think they are in over their heads now with Charlotte being busy big city now and possibly just using bad quality cheaper meats and not caring how they send food out any longer. The egg rolls use to be so good now they’re full of greasy grease and non edible. The beef for the beef and broccoli is just too chewy and the chicken for the chicken and broccoli doesn’t seem like real white chicken breast anymore. It’s just not good like it once was. Some dishes are still kind of decent but lots aren’t sadly. One thing I give them is the food is always very hot still once you get home and they are sweet folks who work there.
