Very poor execution of Mexican/Latin food in my opinion. I've eaten my share of good and bad places and this food experience was one of the bad ones. I am giving 2 stars because I can't do a 2.5. We had it delivered through a food delivery service and the food was still warm when we got it so that wasn't an issue. However, I had a chicken quesadilla that was extremely bland and the chicken was way over cooked and almost inedible. My wife got a burrito that actually tasted the second best out of our entire meal and coming in first place was the Platanos moduros which was surprisingly pretty awesome. perfectly cooked, seasoned and the sauce that accompanied was very pleasing on the palate. The pico de Gallo was the worst I have ever had, not seasoned whatsoever and I don't believe there was one mince of garlic (not saying all pico does, but usually Mexican and South American cuisine does) in it at all. The chips were okay, with some type of sporadic seasoning all over them. The ground beef empanada was a 6 out of 10. Again, there was hardly any taste to the beef due to lack of proper seasoning. The empanada was a little over cooked and in my opinion just boring. At least throw some cotija cheese or queso fresco inside or on top as garnish! I didn't get sick or anything from this meal nor did my wife, but we are both highly unsatisfied with this meal experience and will probably never eat there again. Wayyyy too many other options! And to hear they have over 6 locations is...
Read moreCustomer service was ridiculously awesome when we went, from the moment we walked in until the moment we left. We felt so welcomed and right at home. They have some decent specials I want to come back and check out ($1 Taco Tuesday? Sounds pretty rad!)
As an authentic Gringo I had the supreme nachos based on some reviews and I was not disappointed at all. The nachos were indeed the size of a small mountain, as another commenter said. With the shredded chicken and all the toppings they were great! I definitely would recommend to someone. My authentic Latin friend had the three amigos burrito and he said it was just "okay", nothing special. I tasted it and I agree. It wasn't bad but there really wasn't anything remarkable about it. I made the smarter choice getting the nachos. For my authentic Latin wife we got a quinoa and avocado bowl and added shredded chicken. Again she said it was just okay, nothing special.
I am interested to try their yuca fries to see how they measure up to the real deal. I would also like to go back and try some stuff from the "street food" part of the menu. The carne asada fries sound awesome too.
Price point was normal, not expensive at all and maybe cheaper than others, we got a lot of food for 3 people for ~$26.
I will go back to try some different stuff and, if nothing else, to experience their awesome...
Read moreI’ve been in food/customer service for years and this pains me to even write a review for one star. The family decided on Sabor and we spent $42 to feed the four of us for taco night. Not a bad price. However, when I got home and opened our containers I was extremely disappointed in the appearance of our tacos. We ordered 12 tacos and they all looked extremely skimpy on the protein! My daughter made the comment to us ,” I’m tasting more tortillas than I am the ingredients!” The flavor was great when we could get to it past the tortillas. We know everything is expensive with inflation. Everyone is cutting corners. However, when we choose to go out to eat no matter what the economy is or get take-out we have to make sure we’re giving customers a quality product. I hope Sabor will observe and handle this for future customers. Thank You Purchase date...
