Inner Harbor Seafood Market — Local services in Charlotte

Cute little place. They have seasoning galore for crab boil shrimp boils or any type of boil really. They also cook the food for you if you want them to and you can tell them how you want it prepared if you're going to take it home. I gave three stars because on their shelving there's not a lot past the cleaning supplies and the serving platters and seasoning. I will say that some of the seasonings are overpriced and that's the regular sized stuff. They also have restaurant sizes as well which I thought was nice. Also the woman and I assume her son didn't have a very friendly demeanor. I noticed how the sun seemed to play dumb while she was ringing up customers for him... Like he didn't want to do anything or didn't want to be there. Another thing that annoyed me during my time there was me purchasing some Jamaican sodas and I didn't see an area where I could pay with my card. I'm clearly bewildered and you can see it on my face and they don't say anything to me to let me know that the card reader was on the other side of where they were. And I'll honestly that set up is actually kind of stupid. But I digress. They have muscles and fish. I cannot remember if there were any sea scallops, clams, lobster, or crab. I do know that when I went they had red snapper so I bought a couple of those and they were absolutely delicious. Another plus is that you don't walk out of their smelling like fish and the smell isn't bad in there. I mean it is a fish market so of course you're going to smell seafood but you know there are those ones where you walk in and you kind of question yourself as to how they're still in business with its smelling the way that it does lol. It is kind of small in there and there isn't much room for customers to sit while they wait for their orders to be cooked or prepared for take home consumption. I only rated a one star for the fish. The service is horrible. I encountered a gentleman on the phone with his back turned towards the door. Later to find out its the owners grandson. I live in Fort Mill and my normal fish market was closed. I called to inquire if they had catfish nuggets and was told no. Asked if they had cat fish and was informed they did. I drove 25 mins to this location. Passed the rude the gentleman at the register. And came to the fish. The workers behind never turned their back for me to ask for assistance. Go to the front the guy is still on the phone. After calling him 3 to 4 times he answers me to go get my fish??? Pick my own fish. Looking confused I try to navigate to what is being described after not getting it. He tells me.again I guess frustrated at this time. I'm confused. So I go back. He corrects himself to say oh I thought u wanted whole fish. The establishment is just rude. I explained to him I wanted the filets cut he said he doesn't know if it could happen. Well how can we find out. This boy is young with a chip on his shoulder. I'm explaining to him at this point I've never been here before. In today's climate when you work in an establishment and your dealing with people that spend money have some skills to deal with people. His demeanor could of had this issue escalate. Then told me I didn't have to buy the fish. Training is clearly needed. Customer service and the lack of causes businesses...

Update: 5:57pm and he just called my phone to apologize for his behavior

So I goes into Inner Harbor Seafood Market on Central Ave for lunch picked my fish "croaker" head on split cooked. I gets to work open my box this is not the fish I picked nor ordered no head and its not croaker my fish was huge $9 for one fish. Anyway I called back and told the lady I was giving the wrong fish mind you they fried my fish and the guy ahead of me fish at the same time and taken to the register at the same time. Instead of apologizing the guy on the phone attitude real nasty he say to me I don't know what you crying for it's fish I said crying he said yes you crying not me. Now I'm pissed give me what I pay for I told him I'm on my way back give my money back. Yall tell me why I was threated and he has continued to call my phone back "caller ID" numerous calls harassing me and prank calling my phone. Mannnnnnnn I'm so pissed and heated right...
