Last year we ordered a Prime Rib Roast, big enough for 8 people, asked for Prime, best cut and it cost us $600 and despite following their cooking recommendations to a tee the meat was overcooked which basically ruined it as we all prefer Medium rare. Due to disorganization on our end, they were our only option to buy meat last min for this Christmas dinner. Refused to order a Prime after last year so bought a smaller Choice piece. Sticker on the meat said 7.9 Lbs, checked before seasoning & wrapping which is what we were charged for. Husband double checked on our home scale to find it’s only 7.15 after seasoning and in the wrapper. Double checked our scale on multiple things. It’s calibrated properly. Now it makes sense why our meat was over cooked last year, as we cooked it based off the weight they listed on the sticker. I’m glad we caught it before cooking this one and ruining it but really upset feeling like we’ve been taken advantage of or at the very least they are negligent of maintaining proper scale calibrations. Will not buy our...
Read moreAsked these guys for 8lbs of fat, they said call ahead, $2.99lb did this, asked for it ground- they said no way, his grinder is to expensive to run fat thru it (WHAT? I thought he was joking)… I left wondering what just happened, maybe it's clean and they don't want to reclean just for this? OK, say that, makes sense to me, wouldn't expect them to break it down and clean it if it was already clean. I could of picked it up at their convenience, when they did their grind It wasn't like I needed it right this minute...But you grinder is to expensive to run fat thru it? that's your response? This is the 3rd time this dude's been short with me though, told me they throw the fat away usually (but for me $2.99lb, apparently unground lol). Last owners wouldn't let me out the door until it was ground, they insisted on doing it. Called Butcher in Indian land, Told me the fat is free, and they do their grind on Monday (when I pick it up I'm giving $20 to whoever had to clean the grinder, and a...
Read moreBeware: Butcher's Market mislabels their "Prime" meat. I purchased what I thought was 2 prime ribeye's for $75 dollars for our anniversary. When I opened the package I had received 1 ribeye and what I assumed a choice cut of New York Strip.
Mistakes happen, but the level disrespect from the "manager" and butcher was immense. I came in the next day and showed the manager the picture and told him that I did not receive the ribeye that I purchased. He agreed that picture looked like a NY strip and called the butcher over who called me a liar and tried to tell me it was a ribeye. I asked him if he could taste the difference between and strip and a ribeye which he responded of course. I told him that it was a NY strip and that I also could tell the difference. The butcher and manager respond with weIl we are not going to do anything about it.
I have been a customer for over 10 years and will...
