Today was my first time going to Wayne’s. I was making dinner and ran out of a few things (limes, vegetable oil, hot sauce, and tortilla chips) so I decided to try Wayne’s instead of driving 15 minutes to another grocery store.
This store is small but has most everything you would need (but not all the brands you might look for). It’s clean and the aisles are wide enough for carts to pass each other.
The prices seem a little higher than Walmart or Target but probably cheaper than Harris Teeter.

Read moreI absolutely love Waynes. I go there once a month. The meat they have is absolutely the best at a very very good price. The fist time I went there, I was in there about an hour, this guy says to me "you can cook, I can tell, the way you shop for food" I just smiled and Said thank you. See, great cooking starts with excellent food, and ends with love. Thank you for being a reasonable place to shop for great food. I'm actually headed there today. I've told everyone I know about Wayne's and now they shop there as well. We are all implants in Charlotte, and Wayne's is the best....
Read moreI will say Wayne’s is convenient if you are needing something simple like salt or milk or eggs. And in the past I have had okay experiences here. However, we bought a block of Neese’s sausage without checking the expiration date (because surely they take things off the shelf once they’ve expired…)This morning to our surprise the sausage was covered in mold. Perhaps we should have checked the expiration, which was dated from a week ago. But I would at least expect the shelves to be stocked with fresh meat. Disappointed,...
